Dealing with work stresses!!

edited July 2015 in 2nd Trimester
Im a property manager and 24 weeks pregnant with our first. My husband has just qualified as a chef so money has been a little tight up until now. My job is very stressful and im an emotional person at the best of times. Recently a few work situations have arised which have effected my sleeping (or lack of) which takes its toll. I have felt like leaving my job so many times but feel i need to stay for security for the baby or who will hire me almost 6 months pregnant? Is there anyone else who feels their job is making being pregnant harder than it needs to be? Could i do harm to the baby being anxious about work and working myself up?

Re: Dealing with work stresses!!

  • Anxiety is not harming your baby. Women in third world countries get pregnant all the time and have healthy pregnancy.

You may want to talk to your OB or midwife about how you have been feeling as well as your husband.

  • I'm having a similar issue. I work in optial I make glasses work long shifts and am with stinky chemicals all day. Xp
I don't know about the baby but stress isn't good for you. I too have wanted to quit my job temporarily and just chill out but I would lose our benefits...
It's a tough decision, yes you need stability for the baby and your family but do what is right for you.
