He is jealous of you bump ladies. Lol he thinks I love you guys tooo much and spend a lot of time on here. Oh and he wants me to give birth already 1) to play with and take care of our Little Guy and 2) This whole low lying placenta is killing him...he misses my lady parts lmao....
Another confession: I can't believe I havnt been able to gif all this time and yet it's so easy! I am officially stupid.... oh wait! I can blame it on baby brain! Haha yay! So let's celebrate my success with a gif! I can finally join in the gif parties! Yay!
One more, as I didn't realize it was bothering me until now. I had a really rough day today (first full day back from babymoon, BIG issues with my father's care agents and insurance, tons of return calls). I have a dinner with my college girls to go to tonight, which should make me terribly excited. One of them is making us all a big Filipino dinner (yum). However, I don't want to go and laugh and smile when I am just drained today. In fact, I will be late simply because I am stalling.
I ate a bowl of oreos and milk this morning. Yes, I said a BOWL of oreos and milk. Spooned them out like cereal.
I want this.
My confession is: when out in public, if a kid is screaming and crying and throwing a full out temper tantrum, I (can't help but) immediately judge the parents based on how quickly they either settle the kid down or get them out of the area. Especially when that public area is a toy store where you know dang well your kid is going to want every second thing they see.
My boyfriend told me that he's having a ring custom made for me about a week ago. Since then I have been scheming to find out what it looks like/ where it is hiding. I told him if he was going to get me a ring to please make sure that it's not a conflict diamond, and he said duh, it's being made already! The guy takes his phone into the bathroom when he showers. It's not in the drawers or any of the cabinets I can't reach. Maybe it hasn't arrived? How long could it take to get here?!
It depends on the size of the stone. Also depends upon the intricacy of the setting. If it's a big stone a.k.a. very big stone a.k.a. over three carats it will take him longer to get it in. It could take three months. Depending upon the quality that he is looking for and assuming he doesn't want to pay retail.
The setting also varies tremendously. If it's something more on the simple side, single week or two. If it's extremely intricate, it could take three months also.
Anyhow, that's super exciting for you! Please be sure to let us know what happens?
*ETA- when I'm talking about three months for stone, if we are talking about three carats plus... I'm assuming a D for color. This is probably a stupid assumption to make.
@BostonBaby1 I'm pretty sure "conflict free "" diamonds don't come anything larger that 1.8 carats. Conflict free being man made real diamonds
Edit: I don't know why I felt the need to clarify this, deep down I am a raccoon.
No conflict free are very different from man-made. Conflict free diamonds come from zones where there are no conflicts (think civil wars or guerrilla war tactics.)
Every diamond that enters the United States since 2002 is supposed to be conflict free. If your jeweler cannot show you a certificate then you shouldn't buy the diamond from them.
@vegdumpling my wedding band is a custom one i designed to have diamonds go all the way around in a double row, kind of pyramid shape (if that makes any sense) and it took about 8 weeks once they finished the design and started working.
My confession: I saw 29 patients today (most providers in my clinic see 15 a day), so I feel like I earned the 4 pieces of cookie dough I just ate. DH made his yummy homemade chili for me to have for dinner since I've been craving it for a week. He and DS will probably spend the rest of the afternoon/evening outside while I veg out watching OITNB and I don't have ONE OUNCE of guilt about it!
Omg @Jonesy288 . Seriously dying over here. I love bistec con cebolla and tostones! We go on vacation and next week to Puerto Rico and can't wait to eat all the delicious food.

Yessssss and get empanadas and mofongo out there too. I need to go back to my island man (I'm mixed btw). I love food lol
Thanks you guys @BostonBaby1@Caligurl858@CMDD!!!! I tried to do some googling but got mixed results. Some said their custom rings were ready in like a day but that did sound funny to me. I'm going to go with the assumption that it's going to take a bit of time (at least more than the week I've been snooping) and stick to trying to sneak into his email I'll definitely let you guys know of anything I find! And yes Boston, I was thinking one with a certificate, not necessarily 'man-made,' I didn't even know they had those @caligurl858!!
My confession is that my in laws are coming to visit this weekend, and I am more than a little relieved that I am working, but really dreading the evenings when I will be home. I think I will need some extra prayers this weekend, ladies! ETA: they are staying with us and we only have one bathroom. :-/
Mine, I love my sister to death she is my best friend. Her MIL is a wealthy woman, she is a nurse and DH is a farmer. They make great money and her MIL pays for everything. I mean the woman is giving them 20k to put towards a house. I'm in the military my husband just got out of the military so we live very simple, some pay periods are rough but we make it work. My sister constantly bitches about money problems. It makes me want to strangle her. I try and bite my tongue and tell her oh I'm sorry but honestly don't give a damn and don't feel bad for her. God that feels good to say after so long. I love being able to vent here, you guys are lovely.

No problem! And definitely don't worry about it being conflict free… They all are now unless if the jeweler is breaking the law or it is an estate stone.
IMHO though- stop snooping... it'll be a much better surprise if you get to see it for the first time when he wants to show it to you. I know it's hard to wait!
@BostonBaby1 but it's so hard!! I'm equally to excited to see how he's going to give it to me. I don't need it to be a big thing, but I know it'll be a moment I always remember.

My confession I drink decaf sugar free cinnamon dolce frappes like twice a week. I know it's got fake sugar in them but I can't help myself . I have no self control.
@BostonBaby1 I stand corrected, I have no idea why I mixed that up in my head. Being a daughter of a jeweler I should know better. Probably the aspartame that did it .
My confession: I am ready to go to the store & buy a comfy mom/maternity bra. The underwires in my Victoria's Secret bras are seriously getting uncomfortable. I feel like such an old hag for even wanting an ugly mom/maternity bra!! I used to be the girl that was all about the pretty lingerie and couldn't believe that women could "let that part of themselves go." But the comfort sounds amazingggggg. Good Lord.
I posted (in one of the deleted threads) that I bought 2 bras from Kohls the other day. In the "large" section. Bali. That's the only real non-underwire bra I found (3 mildly different styles though and black, nude, and white). sooooooo comfy! But wait for a 30%. Not cheap. Worth. Every. Penny.
I got two of those bras last week! Mine were on clearance for 4 dollars. Seriously the best purchase ever. I would have paid over 100 dollars for this comfort lol

I hate you a little bit for the price. But yay for comfy tatas!!
FFFC - I told my friends I was too tired to go to dinner with them tonight...but instead of laying down I'm at Barbes & Noble drinking an iced mocha and eating a giant slice of red velvet cheesecake. I am reading a girlfriends guide to pregnancy so at least I'm doing one thing right!

And I pity them My kid is usually pretty good when we go out, but sometimes she cries over the smallest things. Like not wanting to wait to eat a banana until we pay for it. This was one time that I got one banana and went to the fast lane and bought the one banana so she could eat it and then we continued our shopping. She cried the whole way from the produce to the checkout until she got it in her hot little hands. She's almost 2 and doesn't understand why she can't have it immediately. Another time, I had put the milk next to her in the grocery cart so she could "hold it" and she cried when I put it on the conveyor belt until it was scanned and put back next to her.

You pick your battles.
With a toddler, it makes complete sense. When the child is 5, 8 or 12 and throwing a tantrum, I definitely throw serious shade. Obviously, if the child looks like they may have further issues than just the tantrum, I do not.

Oh, I pity most of them too! The unwarranted temper tantrums in grocery stores and just general public areas, I can understand. Especially if the kid is three or under. But taking a four or five year old (or even older) to Toys 'R Us is just asking for trouble most of the time. There was one mother that just completely ignored her daughter and don't even try understand what the upset was about. She just walked away staring at her phone.
I will go really far back, like embarrassingly far, in the birth month boards and search out there mother in law horror stories. I love reading them. Plus it makes mine seem just slightly less crazy.

In that case, another FFFC for Saturday. I could be your best customer if the price was right!
