If that's what the tech said then I'd go with their professional guidance. I think i's too early to be absolutely sure though, a later U/S would be more accurate or the best way to be 100% certain - when baby is born.
I found out the sex of my boys at 13 weeks. They said 85% chance they are boys at 13 weeks then confirmed again they were boys at 16 weeks. If the tech has told you with those words 'your baby is a girl' they have faith in their professionalism so I don't see why you wouldn't believe them. Ask again at next ultrasound if you're not sure
