Prayers please.

As many of you know my dad had open heart surgery. He had his aortic valve replaced and his mitro valve was going to be replaced but they had to get him closed up. 

My dad had a follow up appt today. It didn't go well at all. He still has conjested heart failure ( lot of fluid around his heart -which is not good). His AFIB(irregular hb) isnt any better and they may have to stop his heart and shock it, which this isn't a huge suprise to us, we knew there was a chance this would not be fixed with surgery. 

 The worse news is that his aortic valve is worse then it was before he even had it replaced!!! (its nothing the drs did or didn't do, just the luck of the draw I guess).  He now goes back to the dr next week and will hopefully be given his options. Although there  is NO WAY he will do surgery again. He has already made it clear and really I can't blame him. To go through that hell, for it to maybe not even work again, would suck.  

This seriously just sucks!!! Before his surgery he said he didn't think he would make it 2 more weeks so who knows now. He has been feeling good, so this is a complete shock to us all.  So please please send us some prayers. We could really use them right now.

I'm so sorry- sending nestie hugs and prayers.  My dad went through a lot of medical procedures and I know how hard it is to see the man you think is big and strong and immortal all tied up to tubes and machines in a hospital.  You just think it can't be happening.  He knows you love him- no matter how things go- but I'm hoping the best for him!!

I'm so sorry.  My Dad too has AFIB and had the procedure to shock it back into normal rhythm.  Unfortunately, it didn't work, but he's been on medicine which has kept it under control.  I hope everything works out for your dad.  I know how scary it is.
