Hello friends!
DH and I are 41. I previously suffered 2 losses over 25 years before concieving DS at 38 (13 cycles of consecutive attempts) and delivered a healthy boy at 39 (be encouraged). My husband has been on the fence about trying for #2 until May/June when I started having signs of peri menopause. He isn't totally convinced that he wants a 2nd, but he has stopped using contraceptives and agreed I should see a fertility specialist for an evaluation. The U/S today Showed a small amount of follicles indicating peri menopause. They did however see one big egg about to ovulate which is encouraging. I took an AMH test today to confirm peri menopause, results will take a few days. I will do an fSH on CD3, and pray for God's will to be done.
I am curious if we have had any friends here conceive during peri menopause and would love to hear from everyone .
Update and vent: I hope you don't mind a newb venting, the aninimity here makes me feel comfortable sharing. when I spoke to my husband about what the DR said, he became very negative and withdrew. I mentioned that the dr recommended trying on our own for 3 mo and then doing a full work up if no BFP. He got angry and yelled he wasn't doing that and walked away. The dr recommended sex last night given the size of the egg, but my husband was asleep by the time I put our son down. Time is quickly running out and with every mixed signal I feel rage welling up inside me. For the last 2 years I have been patient with his indecisiveness, but we no longer have the luxury of time, and it is weighing on me heavily. We have a sitter tonight and are going out to dinner...I suspect it will be an unpleasant dinner because I need to talk about this openly and honestly.
Good luck @HisPromisIsTrue. Not sure if you've had your dinner yet - probably depends on your location - but I hope it went well and you and your hubby could talk about this openly.

Thank you for the encouragement ladies. So, the pendulum has swung the other way. We didn't actually talk about that over dinner. I decided to bring it up when we got home and more privacy.... Turns out we didn't have to talk about it at all we just had BMS .
Re: Introduction (living child and loss mentioned) .. And a question
