Sudden onset of high BP and weight gain

I am literally sitting in my OB's office waiting to find out if I am being sent to labor and delivery. Yesterday I had my P17 shot at my OB's office and was weighed and had my BP taken. All was normal (I actually lost a pound from the week before). Today a little more than 24 hours later and my BP is high and I gained 2 pounds. My OB had me drink some water and rechecked my BP and it is still elevated. I have 1 more recheck in 30 minutes and if it's still elevated I have to go to L&D.

Thoughts and prayers! Have they checked your urine for protein? I guess if you're going to L&D anyway they may not want to take the time. Hope everything's OK and baby gets to stay inside a little while longer!

They did check for protein and it was negative. I got to go to L&D (luckily the hospital is just next door to my OB). I was monitored and so was baby. I got iv fluids (although they don't think I was dehydrated) and had to lay on my left side. My blood pressure did go down so I have been released. I am now on bed rest until my next appointment and BP check on Tuesday. I have to call or head back to the hospital if my BP goes up or u have any other symptom such as swelling. Thanks for all the thoughts and well wishes.
