working on doula certification

I have just begin working on my doula certification, but I have not yet attended a birth. I did not know what was most helpful for other doulas in finding their first clients. Are there any organizations that I could volunteer with? Or do hospitals allow you to volunteer? I would be willing to do it for free since I am still learning and not yet certified.

Hey, I think it depends where you live. Use google to find some organizations in your area. Also, calling hospitals and talking to their volunteer depts may help a lot. Also try birth centers and clinics. I hope that helps.
