Granulation Tissue

I am now 10 and a half weeks since I had my daughter. I had an episiotomy done and then the stitches came out which caused an infection and now the OBGYN says that I have granulation tissue which is causing the discomfort that I am still having. He is having me go back in 4 weeks to have him freeze it down there and do something to get rid of it. Anyone else having this problem, and know what the doctor is actually going to end up doing? And about recovery? My husband is with the army and is going to be away just after I have it done so I will be alone with our daughter and don't have any family nearby.
