Procardia anyone?

I was started on procardia on Friday to help stop all the contractions I've been having. At first I thought they were just Braxton hicks, but they turned very painful and at times were even regular. What I'm wondering is, if you are on procardia for the same reasons, do you get complete relief from pressure, contractions, and tightness? I should add that I am 31 weeks as of tomorrow.
