TTC after 35

Impatient

I'm on CD15 and am waiting to O.  Even after that happens, there is the TWW.  Anyone else feeling impatient???

This is my first month using Clomid, which is why I think I'm so impatient.  I REALLY hope this is THE month!

Re: Impatient

  • YES!! I've been actively trying since last fall and that impatient feeling doesn't go away at all!! I wish there a was a way to forgot about things for awhile, to just let them happen, but I can't now that I spend all this time temping and OPKs, etc. Sigh.

I completely relate to the impatience.
This month I feel somehow less attached. Maybe I'm just a bit disconnected out of self preservation. Hard to say.
I'm waiting to O, so I'm sure the anticipation will start up over the next week.

  • I just ovulated, and I'm happy to watch the rise in temps.  Only, I'm not trying this month.  I have about 4 weeks before my next insemination happens, and then the TWW from there, so 6 weeks until I'm peeing on sticks again....  Yes, I get impatience.

Me- 39 (turning 40 in April), TTC for the first time ever (since Jan 2015), low ovarian reserve
Married 3/14/14 to my wonderful wife, but her sperm count is rather low
TTC with frozen donor sperm and science

    7 IUIs, 7 BFNs.
2 IVF attempts, both cancelled and converted to IUI, both BFNs.
Decided that my tired old ovaries are ready to retire.
Next step- reciprocal IVF, using my wife's eggs, my uterus!
fresh 5 day transfer (2 embryos) 4/17/17- BFP!
Identical twins "due" 1/2/17 (but anticipated arrival sometime December)

  • @thistle8677, that's exactly how I feel. At first my lack of optimism bothered me, but now the detached feeling is calming. I think my brain is taking a much-needed emotional break.
