Embryo Transfer on Friday.... A few concerns?

Hello,

I had my transfer on Friday and I'm feeling great for the most part. I don't have any cramp or spotting but I do feel some pressure in my abdominal area.. Has anyone else experienced something similar? Does it sound pretty normal? Or should I be concerned?

Re: Embryo Transfer on Friday.... A few concerns?

  • I don't recall the exact pains I had from the transfer, but I was very sore for a couple of days, especially after my fresh cycle with the retrieval a couple days before. I would say what you're experiencing is pretty normal. They poked and prodded around in there and were irritating things that normally don't get touched. Also, you're probably starting to be way too in tune with every ache, soreness, pain, any different sensation that could point to a positive or negative. This is also normal but will drive you crazy!
I just tried to stay hydrated and took it as easy as I could the first few days. Good luck on your 2ww!

  • I had some minor cramping and a "full" feeling in my lower abdominal area for a few days. The progesterone is no joke, made me very constipated. Stay hydrated and take stool softeners if you aren't regular!

  • Thanks for the tips. Yea the progesterone is making me very constipated. I'm drinking tons of water and prune juice every night and that seems to help. I haven't had any other discomfort, but I look like I'm 4 months pregnant.. Is that pretty normal 7 days after transfer?
  • Well I think if you're backed up and drinking tons of water, it can make you bloated, or look Uber pregnant.
Have you cheated with a hpt??????

  • Yea I guess that makes since. No I haven't cheated yet and I'm really not sure I'll be able to wait until the 24th to get my blood work. Can the progesterone injections give me a false positive?
  • No, they cannot. The only thing that can give you a false positive is the trigger shot.
I think it's 14 or 15 days after the shit before you're clear from the trigger.
I couldn't wait either! I started testing a few days after the transfer.

  • I did my transfer on Saturday then Sunday I started feeling a lot of cramps up until now it just isn't as bad as first. I am also having terrible headaches since yesterday and feeling tired. I am to go Monday for the preg test
  • The progesterone do hurts and make me constipated however I cheated yesterday and got a test and there's a faint positive really hoping it's true . I wish u all the best it's worth it in the end
  • The POI are the worst! And hopefully, you're on them for 8-12 weeks. I would ice for five minutes, massage for five minutes and then use a heating pad on medium for 15 to disperse the medicine.
I cheated with hpts too! I got such a faint positive that DH said it was negative. I then rested every other day until our blood test confirmed.

    Good luck ladies!!!

  • What helped me with the progesterone was hearing the filled syringe for about 15 min on a heating pad. I also used 25 gauge needles and that helped immensely. No icing on my end. But my husband did massage the area afterward to ensure I didn't get lumps. Not a single lump or bruise.
