Early Induction

We have 10 days till our due date. We just found out yesterday we're going to be induced Wednesday at 39 weeks and 1 day. Anyone else induced early due to Gestational diabetes? Our growth estimate is already 9 lbs 1 oz!! 2 weeks ago it was 6lbs 3 oz!!

I had GD. I was terrified my baby was going to be huge due to sugar intake. Totally followed a strict diet as a result. 2 days before I went into labor the sonogram said he was 6 lb 9 oz and on track to be 8 lb at birth. He delivered 5 lb 12 oz. Dont pay attention to the sonogram weight.

I'm being induced at 39 weeks and have GD with insulin at night. They estimated mine to be 6 lb 8 oz last week, but I wouldn't go by the ultrasound as it can be +-2 pounds off.

Getting induced at 39 weeks due to GD as well. I'm on Glyburide and insulin. I don't put much stock on the weight measurements. My last, while in labor, was est to be 7.5 pounds and he was 9.6.....but I went to 41.5 with him.

I am being induced at 39.2 (next Friday) with GD. I take Glyburide as of a couple of weeks ago. At my 37 week US, she was measuring at 7lbs 4ozs. Tech said she could gain another pound before she's born. We'll see what she actually comes out at, doc said the margin for error is +/- 1 pound.

I'm being induced at 39.4 for GD on metformin- baby was measuring almost 7 pounds at 36 weeks so I'm freaking out a bit - first baby was 8lb10 born at 37weeks with no GD

I'm hoping on Wednesday (when I have my appt) dr may decide to induce then and there
