Light headed?

Ok sort of long story, last night we ordered pizza which I immediately regretted because of the fear of my stomach not agreeing to it. Well I think my head got to my stomach and I didn't feel to great afterwards but it went away. However afterwards later into the evening I started getting light headed so I thought going to bed would help. Instead I felt light headed all night even though I was lying down. I still feel light headed this morning. I do sometimes have low blood pressure and I am borderline anemic. Seeing as it's a Saturday I can't just call my doctors office and talk to someone easily so I'm not sure what to do.
Btw I'm 21w4d

Re: Light headed?

  • I have this from time to time too. The nurse told me to drink fruit juice and eat quick sugar from a piece of fruit. I started drinking juice again and it has helped a lot! She also suggested eating a snack more often throughout the day! Also make sure you are hydrated. She explained that more blood is going to the baby during the second trimester so it is normal to feel light headed or even to feel faint. Do not worry or panic (I did when it first happened to me!) Good-luck.

  • I know it's impossible not to worry during pregnancy, but some of us have had food poisoning with vomiting and diarrhea and everything has been just fine with the baby. Like PP said, try keeping your blood sugar up with juice or fruit.
  • Ive almost fainted now three times due to low blood pressure. The doctor said to up my liquids to 100 oz a day. It has helped a lot!
