I mostly lurk but have posted once or twice before. I'm 24 but will be 25 right before baby boy is due. I'm 26 weeks along and excited to be a FTM. Husband and I are high school sweethearts. We have been married for almost 4 years. I work for a mental health agency as a youth advocate. I'm excited to learn more about the rest of you!
I've been lurking more than posting, but I never did introduce myself! I'm 33, been married for two years. I work as a special education teacher at the elementary school level, and I'm soooo enjoying my summer off!! I'm due October 28th with our first, a little girl Before the human kid, hubby and I have 3 dogs who have been our family: a Brittany spaniel and 2 pit mixes. I love to run (which baby girl has been loving too since she still lets me do it!), cook, travel, read and drink wine. We got married at a vineyard, so that tells you the extent of our wine loving, lol.
Can anyone find the post with intros from way back? I swear we did one before, toward the very beginning. I looked for it and was going to copy and paste into here but can't seem to find it. Or am I imagining things?! If there is one it'd be nice to reread some of the intro's now that we've gotten to know each other a little better. If not, I'll post one on here.
Hi everyone! I'm Tori I am 21 years old & married to the sweetest man ever, Drew, who is 25. We have 2 dogs..Brody, a boxer, and Stephanie, a yorkie poo! We got married October 18, 2014 and are expecting the arrival of our first LO on October 14, 2015. Hoping she stays put a few extra days because what an amazing anniversary present! We live in Athens GA- GO DAWGS!! When not pregnant, we really love going to different brewery's around the Atlanta area. We also enjoy packing up on a whim & taking weekend trips to places we've never been!

I remember seeing one back in March or so... I looked too and can't find it either !
I don't know if I ever introduced myself. I'm not really a lurker or a big contributor.
I'm Kassy and will be 25 next month. Hubby is 27. We have been together 3 years and celebrate two years of being married in November on his birthday. I am due on October 25th with our first boy. We live in a tiny town in Indiana. I work in the dairy cattle industry and hubby owns and operates a fence building company.
We have an extensive animal family as well. Currently we have two mutts, Chickey and Cricket, and three cats, Butters, Pumpkin, and Salty. We also have two horses, Charmayne and Willow, two goats Patsy Fae and Delilah Mae, and a donkey named Thistle. I also have 12 adult chickens and one chicken is currently sitting on a nest with twelve eggs hatching chicks. The chickens have various names including Barbie, Midge, Miranda, and my breeding pair of silkies are Sheldon and Penny. We have also owned guinea hens, ducks, and geese over the past two years. I'm currently trying to work on getting a pot bellied piggie
We love antiques, big trucks, ice cream, and country music. For fun we trail ride and camp with our horses. And I live for garage sales, flea markets, thrift stores, and swap meets.
Well, been awhile since I had to introduce myself I'll have to admit, online or in person haha.
My name is Sarah, but in recent years I've usually gone by a nickname of some sort, SJ or Snap most recently. I just turned 26 on July 3rd, my husband who goes by Pyro is turning 32 this year(though I had to remind him since he's always avoided the topic of age since he looks a lot younger lol). His birthday is about a week before our baby's estimated due date. We've know each other since 2005, been living together since 2008. We moved back to my home town of Boise, Idaho in 2010. Got married in 2013 in September, on Friday the 13th of course
Kind of a cool that our son will also be born here, not in the same hospital as me, though we live close to there so if we had a emergency or urgency there's still a chance he could be. He'll probably also grow up here for awhile. But we want to get an RV and travel all over, still might live here most of the year at first.
We have a small chihuahua who will be 6 years old at the end of the month. My husband is not really a dog person, has been bit by bigger dogs that just didn't like him for some reason, and kind of has a different view on pets in general. But he's gotten used to spoiling this little guy since he's so cute and smart. We're hopeful after some adjusting he'll be a good big brother.
We rescued him at about 10 weeks old, he was covered in fleas and sores and near death.
Here's him at a year old, only a couple days after he had surgery to remove the ball of his hip on the leg he's holding up. He had broken it(probably before we got him), but it didn't become evident until he was about 8 months old when it started to show disease and it was causing him a lot of pain. He was super skinny for awhile, he was not even 3 pounds. We had to leave food out for him all the time just to get him to eat.
Here's him recently now at a VERY healthy 5 pounds and only fed twice a day haha.
My husband and I both share a lot of the same hobbies and interests that are kind of unique. We both are semi-professional Yo-Yoers, yes we can do probably any trick you can name... including walk the dog and rock the baby >_>
I haven't had a job since 2010, but have been working since last year on getting my own business going that involves my photography and graphic design abilities.
My husband works for a local toy shop that sells vintage and new collectable toys, not involved to the degree with money as the guy that set up the business, but is considered co-owner/would take over the business if anything happened to the main owner. Right now the main owner is at San Diego Comic Con selling at the same booth as the company that makes Mind Styles and Pop, the shop sells some of their rarest and special items because they've gotten to know the owner over the last year or so.
They also a do a lot of business on eBay and with the Las Vegas Toy Shack.
Even if the business were to have to close or let my husband go we'd probably still be involved in that industry on a smaller scale and still able to make a living.
Also, anyone who has already done a separate intro post, feel free to find your thread and post a link. With most of us in or approaching third trimester, it may be good to have a refresher
Since I'm off work for the summer I've become less of a lurker, but still not a huge contributor. I so love checking the board throughout the day!
I'm Morgan, 27, married to my dream boy, who will be 28 right around the time our babe is born. Our Team Green LO is due Oct. 21, and we will celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary in September. We dated for 3 years before that and are so excited to welcome our first child. S/he will be the 1st grandchild on my side, 4th on my hubby's, and everyone is so excited. We're very close to our family so it's been a fun experience for all, especially for my sister and me as she is also expecting (Jan2016).
DH is a bartender and has been since we finished college. I'm an English teacher at our small-ish town's Freshman Academy. I have my bachelor's and master's degrees from the U of Memphis, and I'm hoping to complete my +45 in the Spring semester after getting settled with this baby, and eventually moving into administration.
We have 2 fur babies, Scarlett and Cutch, who are adorable and I'm convinced will be marvelous with our new addition! I'm currently obsessed with tagging photography poses of babies + dogs on Pinterest, gardening, crocheting, and stalking birth photography.
I'm Amy and I'm due October 8 with our second child(team green). I'm 33 and my husband is almost 42. We have been married almost 3 years and our son will be 2 on Oct 22(we like October babies.) I work part time as a physical therapist, which I love doing, but I'm hoping to be able to stay home more after this little one arrives. I love running but haven't done much this pregnancy since its been so darn hot. I'm also a pure barre addict and I have gone almost every day throughout this pregnancy.
Hello! I'm mainly a lurker, but I do leave comments here and there. I'm also a big fan of "love it's!" To make everyone feel... Well loved! Haha.
My husband and I both turned 21 this year in April/May. I've loved this guy since we turned 15, however we both have military families so when my dad retired, we moved away from each other for about 2 years. Eventually, I packed up my things and moved back to TX to try getting my guy back! Thankfully everything worked out and we have been happily married for 3 months.
I work at Target, but this week is my last week before I start staying home. I'll be working as a "nanny" watching a couple girls from my church during the week. My husband's ambition amazes me, and because of his dedication to school and staying on track he had a good job as a correctional officer in one of the maximum security prisons here in our area. After two years, he is "moving up" and growing through the police academy and is graduating in September.
This baby is our first, a little girl, Avery Renee! She is due Oct. 21st and although we had originally intended to give ourselves two or three years, this pregnancy has come at the perfect time. We are so blessed, and excited to meet her. I'm a nervous FTM, but falling in love with every little kick! DH and I are the oldest kids in our families so Avery will be the first Grandbaby as well!
@AmyB421 My gym recently starting offering several barre classes during the week, and I love it!! I've been going consistently for the last three weeks or so, and I can already feel myself getting stronger and (hopefully) more prepared for labor.
@leighann1 I think it is the best work out--I just can't get enough!! I'm interested to see how this labor compares to my last one since I didn't start barre until after my son was born. I think it will definitely help us through labor.
I have never introduced myself either. My name is Lacey and I live in Washington state with my husband and 4 year old daughter. My husband and I just celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary. I am 30 years old. I work for a Skin Cancer Surgery Center. I am a self taught baker and love to make anything but specifically cakes. I also love the beach, a good book and capturing photos of my family. I am due with our precious boy on October 10th. His name is Jaxon Eli.
I'm Sara. I'll be 30 on Wednesday, pregnant with my first baby, who is a girl due October 23. I live in Minnesota with two dogs, two cats and my husband of almost seven years. I've posted in response to a lot of posts, but I don't know if I actually introduced myself.
Hey yall , I'm Yasmin . I'm 32 years old . I live a little outside of Houston , TX. I work in community management . My husband and I have been together for 10 years . Married almost 6. I am very blessed . He is my bf . He is in the US army . Sadly he wasn't able to be present for our daughters birth . Which is one of the hardest things we ever did. He met her when she was one week old . Our lovely quirky now 6 year old , Victoria (love of my life). She's a total daddy's girl . He is very excited he'll get to be here for our sons birth. God willing October 20th or so. So I'm hoping little man is a mamas boy. Lol We are pretty simple people . I love eating ,working out (running mainly because of all the good eating ), movies, reading , spending time w my big Mexican family and sports . So ready for football season (Go Cowboys)! I enjoyed reading about ya'll and don't remember if I had done this before . Cheers to October mommies !
What a great thread idea! I'm 32 and a FTM. We live outside of Cincinnati in Kentucky. My hubby and I have been married for 8 years, will hit our 9th anniversary right after our son is born. I am a homemaker, but untill a few months ago I was a bankruptcy analyst for a large bank. My hubby is in IT. We video game, board game, play Dungeons and Dragons, read, collect comic book and Star Wars collectables. So, in summary, we are big nerds looking forward to welcoming our little guy.
Lol are you in Florence yall? I went to university of Louisville.
We are actually a town over from Florence, lol! One of my besties is a huge UofL fan.
I've been posting for awhile and not sure if I ever did an intro. I'm 34 and I have a little girl who is 4 and a little boy on the way. I've been with my husband for almost 11 years and married almost 6. We have two dogs and my daughter really wants a cat. Both my husband and myself work full time. I have my masters degree and work for a small local firm as an interior designer/sales and office manager. It's a lot of work but I love it and my boss is so sweet. We tried so hard for this second baby and I'm so proud of him for growing so big. I can't wait to cuddle him! I love art, design, food, family, friends... other than that I'm not too exciting haha.
I'm Alicia, 28 year old, FTM from Florida due 10/4 with a little girl, Mila Nicole. I am a cardiac ICU nurse. My husband is Serbian. He works in IT. We have been married for 2 years. We have a little papillon, Snickers, who will always be my first baby! I will continue working after the baby arrives and plan to apply to nurse anesthetist school next year. We are hoping to plan another LO after I'm done with school. This is the first grandchild for both our families. I'm so glad my mom moved here last year and lives 5 minutes down the road. My husband's parents still live in Serbia. His mom will come stay with us for two months when I go back to work after maternity leave. I am so thankful for her, but it will be so challenging because she doesn't speak English.
I'm mostly a lurker but have posted a few times. My name is Zet, I'm 29, a ftm and I'm from Texas. My husband and I have been married almost 2 years and lived together for 7 years. I work in the energy industry and forthe most part love it except for lately it's been super busy and stressful at my job. We conceived via ivf as we did genetic testing prior to implantation. It's been a long and expensive road but we're excited to welcome our baby boy on Oct 23. I rarely post or like posts bc I only ever get on via my phone app and it sucks. I'll try to be less of a lurker, but honestly doubt that'll happen with my busy work schedule and crappy app. Edited to add age
I don't know if I've done an intro or not I lurked a lot in the beginning but haven't been around much lately.... I'm 27 I'll be married 7 years in August to my high school sweetheart we've been together for 10 years this is our second baby we are having a little girl due October 23rd our son is 4! I'm mostly a stay at home mommy I do very part time work outside the home we have two labs, love boating, the beach going on family adventures and hubby and I are big into trying new local restaurants and breweries (when I'm not prego )
Yoohoo to all of you! I am mostly a lurker and am guilty on multiple counts of posting without having introduced myself. My apologies.
My name is Kirsten, and I am 27 years old. Happily married to my college sweetheart, 25 years old (proud cradle robber here!). We met in our college marching band, he a Freshman saxophonist and I a Junior clarinetist. Been together for 6 years and will celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary in September.
This will be our first human child, due October 27th, and we hope to have three more down the road. We are team green, but it's killing us both not knowing. We have two fur children that we absolutely adore- an American Foxhound named Callie and a Smoked Tiger named Izzy. Currently living in Florida but moving to Kentucky as soon as our new house closes- which should be any day now.
I am a full-time pharmacy technician and also work part-time as a billing specialist for a pest control company. I am hoping to be a work-from-home mommy after my maternity leave, but we shall see how it goes. DH just enlisted in the Navy and is starting medical school at the end of this month. We are running out of major life changes to cram into 2015, but are thinking of buying a new car before years' end.
Hi there! I'm Angela, 38 years old (you're all making me feel ancient!) and mom to a beautiful 17-yo dd. My husband and I met when she was a year old and we take a long time to make decisions, which is how we will end up with a newborn and a college-bound HS senior in the same house! Yikes!
We live in a town in Westchester, NY, just about a 30-minute train ride from midtown Manhattan. I'm a kindergarten teacher who is planning to take the remainder of next school year off after the baby is here.
I technically should be on the Nov15 board but it just didn't feel like a welcoming place. Too many new people trying to figure things out were answered with snark and just plain meanness. So I migrated over here, which seems so much more welcoming! I'm due Nov 9th but my daughter was 3 weeks early (as were all my mom's babies), so I'm guessing this little one will be an October baby anyway.
We're expecting another little girl and couldn't be more excited! Since it's been 17 years, it feels like my first all over again. I swear they've invented all new things since I last gave birth!

Howdy! I'm 31 and this will be my third princess, due on October 25. I have two daughters from a previous marriage, they are 11 and 6. They both decided to come at 38 weeks, so if this baby comes at 38 weeks too, that will be my 1 year wedding anniversary gift to hubby...just kidding, he'll still get a gift . I listen to mainly Spanish and country music, watch HGTV, read inspirational stuff like Shauna Niequist, am somewhat of a coffee snob and I don't understand why more people don't use a Chemex, best coffee ever! The Keurig at work grosses me out. I could live on fruit and seafood and lately cottage cheese. I can't wait for a nice juicy steak once this baby pops out!
Hi, I never introduced myself. I mostly lurk, comment on some of the pet/weight gain posts.
I am 34, will be 35 when LO is born. I've been married for four years, this little guy will be our first. We weren't sure we wanted kids (although we weren't using birth control so I guess we kind of did). We have two dogs and a cat, they've been our babies to date. I think our cat and senior dog will adjust to the baby just fine (new pack member!) but my younger dog has been my "baby" for the past 6 years. He's been the recipient of all my maternal urges. I am a bit worried how he'll react to being demoted to "dog". I'm trying to give him less attention now(while still meeting his needs, trust me even with the demotion he will have a good life and be a lucky dog!).
We plan to be a one and done family (1 kid feels right to us).
This is such a great idea and I completely missed it over the weekend! I think I awkwardly tried to fit an intro into my first comment because I didn't want to start a whole thread...
My name is Jenean. My parents definitely made up that spelling based on American phonetics, yet I somehow survived childhood unscathed. I'm 25, my husband is 31. We've been married since May last year and we will have been together for three crazy but amazing years right around October 5th when our first baby Freyja is born. I didn't understand the capacity to love someone as much as I do my husband until I met him, and watching him become a father has expanded my comprehension of that even more. It sounds cheesy but it's true.
I've lived in some part of Pennsylvania all of my life, but am partial to my time spent studying Third World History and French in Philly. We love to travel and see new places, and these journeys often include brewery tours, but the greater Mid-Atlantic area always feels the most like home. Currently I'm a housewife by necessity of life, and am adjusting to that role, but I seem to take social justice as a personal vendetta, and am fascinated by political ethics and law. In my breaks from trying to figure out how to keep house so my husband can breath when he's actually home, I like to cook, especially in provincial French style, listen to everything from Rachmaninoff to Billie Holiday to Serge Gainsbourg to The Clash on vinyl as record collecting is my husband's favorite hobby, and keep up with current events and then research their political history. I also binge on nerdy 90's television and assorted documentaries in the background of this, as being alone in the only major city in PA I'm not super comfortable in gets quiet! So Buffy, X-Files, and West Wing plus whatever good docus are on Netflix and some really awesome couple friends down the street from us generally provide me with people noises when my husband is traveling.
Oh, I also have an incredibly dry sense of humor that I try to remember doesn't generally translate to strangers online!
This was great to come back to after a week with no internet connection. I could access wifi from only a couple spots in the resort, so not impossible, but Belize was way too amazing to bother staying 'connected.' I'm not a lurker, but I don't think I've ever 'formally' introduced myself either.
I'm Caitlin. My husband, Luke, and I are both 28, and we've been married since December 2013. He finished his Masters in Finance at UF, I have my MS in Qualitative Research Methods from Florida State. We met while he was working for the FBI in Tallahassee, right before I started grad school. We have been a house divided from the beginning, which makes football season (a religion where I'm from) really interesting every year.
We have an 8 year old daughter, Ridleigh, from my first marriage. I was a very young wife and mom the first time around, and it took several years before I got my life back to where I had hoped I would be. But Rids is the light of both Luke's and my life, and giving her this long-awaited sister (due 10/15!) feels like the best gift ever.
I work part-time for the Department of Health, Epidemiology Division. I hold the FIMR contract for Palm Beach County, and as a nurse abstractor, review the county's fetal and infant mortalities. Never thought I would do this sort of work, but I'm glad to be part of a research-based effort to reduce deaths in under-privileged populations.
My other two loved are my pups: Atticus, a Welsh Springer, and Zoey, a Cavalier. They go with me everywhere, and are definitely my little buddies.
I intro'd around maybe 9 weeks, but that was long, long ago!
I'm Ashley, 32yo, from Maryland. Married my college sweetie, together 12+ years, married 8 years this October. I'm a PACU (recovery room) nurse in an outpatient surgery center. My husband is a police officer who manages a lot of the police technology for our county dept (in car computers, body cameras, electronic ticket machines, etc). He's also halfway through getting his Master's degree. He was in a terrible car accident in 2009 and has had 60 surgeries and 100+ blood transfusions since then. Almost died many times. One of his surgeries was an above the knee amputation.
We have a beautiful nearly 3 year old daughter who was conceived via IVF w/ ICSI. This baby was conceived the same way. My husband has a very low sperm count due to large amounts of radiation to his pelvis during his hospitalization. Our daughter is such a blessing and I can't imagine my life without her. She makes my heart melt. She's also really looking forward to being a big sister. Even though she knows baby's name, she calls her "girlie girlie" or "this little guy".
I enjoy spending time with family, trashy reality tv, quiet time alone when I can get it, being crafty, good food, and anything that makes me laugh.

Oh I'm late to the party on this one!! I wouldn't call myself a lurker, I am pretty active on here but thought I should formally introduce myself as well!!
My name is Tara, 25, my husband is Travis, 33. I work in sales and marketing for a trucking company. Travis is a CFO of a commercial property management company. We have been married for just over a year and together for about 4 years now. I fell head over heels for him on our first date and find myself loving him more everyday!
We live in Wisconsin but I was born and raised in New Jersey and we have discussed the idea of moving back there now that a baby is on the way!
We are first time parents and our baby is due October 5th! The pregnancy was a bit of a surprise but a very welcomed surprise!!! We are so excited for our next adventure. It's been so wonderful to get to know all you other mommas's and momma to be's! I've appreciated all the feedback and it certainly makes this whole process easier!!!
Haven't logged in to bump in a few days! @leighann1 Thanks for starting this, great idea! I love reading and learning about everyone!
My name is Debbie, I live in British Columbia, Canada. I'm a longtime Bumpie, posting/responding here and there...joined since I was expecting my first who was born in February of 2013. I'm a Risk Manager by "trade" but would love nothing more than to quit and become a traveling boho yogini I'm 36 (will be 37 on Friday!) and have been together with my DH (41) for almost 19 yrs, married for 15. We have a little girl who is our world, her name is Charlotte, we call her Charlie. We are expecting our little baby boy, Blake on October 14th.
My loves that keep me going: Espresso (miss you so), yoga, meditation, kale smoothies, baking, all things chocolate (my kryptonite), especially dark.
Being a part of the Feb'13 and Oct'15 BMB, both have been so amazing and welcoming...you guys are so awesome and I'm glad we all have such an amazing group of supportive Mamas to chat with...Rockstars!

We are so blessed, and excited to meet her. I'm a nervous FTM, but falling in love with every little kick! DH and I are the oldest kids in our families so Avery will be the first Grandbaby as well!
Edited to add age
But seriously, welcome. We're happy to have you!
Hi everyone!
I am a stay at home Kim, but also sell thirty-one gifts!
I hope to post more on here, but I love reading all the posts!
