ok so the warning in the subject line gave it away, but i got a positive beta today!!!!
My number is 132. That is 2 weeks after my day three transfer or 17 days after retrieval. I am new to betas so don't have a strong sense on the number. My RE said it was a good strong number. If it was closer to 0 she would be concerned that one had implanted but didn't make it and we were just detecting remaining hcg. That all said, i of course googled it when i got home. Sounds like there is a huge range. I think my number is less than average but not at the low end by any means? I of course i would feel better if it were above average, but from everything i read its hard to read into the first beta too much (not that it is stopping me!!). Sounds like it is the relative change between readings that is important. If anyone has any more experience/insight i would most appreciate it.
In the meantime we are super excited to get the positive and will just take it one day at a time. I go back for another beta on saturday and then again on monday.
I hope its ok if i hang around here until we have some more certainty. I am very aware how early it is and that we have a ways to go.
Thanks everyone for sending your positive thoughts my way -- it worked!!!!!
