Bronchitis with asthma - help!

Hi guys, first time posting here. I'm 6 months and one week along, and my God am I ill.

I had a chest infection a couple of days ago which has spiralled into bronchitis. I went to the hospital right away and they said baby is fine, but all they can give me are the antibiotics and paracetamol.

Now that's fine - I know the antibiotics should kick it in about a week, but I've never been in so much pain in my life. I asked what I'd anything they could do to help me and they were very sympathetic but basically I've got to grin and bear it.

My back feels like its in pieces from the effort of breathing. I can't even move without losing my breath. When I cough, nothing is coming up and it feels like my ribs are cracking. Worst of all...I can't lay down. At all. I've tried every position going. My lungs feel like they're being crushed and I have a coughing fit. I've tried sleeping upright but even this is painful.

Please, has anyone else been through this and does anyone have any advice for me? I don't know how to get through the rest of today let alone the next five.
