On the 4th my water ruptured at a picnic\party around 11:30 pm i started having painful contractions. Bella Rose was born July 5th at 6:43 c section. I was suppose to have a c section july 10th. Bella weighs 8 lbs 15 ounches & 20 inches. She is quite a big girl & the best creation from god i ever seen cant post pics but shes my profile picture. Any how.. Since the 4th i havent gone #2 at the hospital they fave me softeners & another laxitive still nothing..what can i do to get things going?.

Congratulations!! Try taking miralax it's very gentle and you can take it every day until you get normal again

Look into herbal teas. Are you nursing? Maybe a cup of coffee will do the trick? I allow myself a cup a day! It does the trick.

I drink a cup of coffee every morning for that reason! Also try eating prunes

Warm prune juice. I drink 2 cups a day. Microwave for 30 seconds... It works well with a colace.

OMG!!! You have the same name that I picked for my baby girl!!!! Haha! I guess great minds think alike!! Although now Hubby wants a family middle name congrats on the baby girl and hoping your feeling better, I drink lots of hot green tea with lemon to keep things moving along:)

That's funny- Bella Rose was the exact name I picked too for a girl......but I'm having a boy instead!!

Thanks everyone. I ended up using ex lax that sure did the trick! But im going to take up on the coffee & tea ideas as well.!
