Mmm, this may make an outcast on this topic but....a cool gin and tonic with lots of lime would really hit the spot with this heat.
A nice shandy would be good as well. Or vodka lemonade. Or amaretto sour. Holy crap, I sound more excited about a cocktail than the kid getting here. LOL
A big rustic tannic red wine. Maybe a Spanish or portuges blend. I have been buying one quality bottle of wine every 2-3 weeks during this pregnancy and I'm getting quite an impressive selection. Can't wait to dig in!
I'm not a big drinker so my first after baby beverage would be Starbucks anything w/ a double espresso. However I plan on BF so I won't even be able to have that (
I've never heard that you can't have espresso while BF... I mean if you don't want to that's totally your call but personally don't see the problem here
@lbeach5885 Isn't it for the same reason I can't have alcohol or other energy drinks? It gets passed to the baby through the breast milk. I know a small amount of caffeine won't hurt but what I'm craving definitely would, I've been dying for something highly caffeinated for a long time!

I've been drinking caffeine throughout pregnancy (1 small cup vs 10 large ones prior to pregnancy) and I know during, you can have a cup a day and during BF, you can have more up to 3 cups. Of course, if you're not comfortable with that then don't, but it's considered safe. I've also had sushi, few glasses of wine here and there (3 or 4 oz at a time) , and had deli sandwiches. It's what ever YOU feel comfortable with
