Breastfeeding

hi everyone

its been 8 years since my first child and my first time breastfeeding my second child Aubrey. she is 3 months old as of July 3rd and I was wondering if I can get information about how to boost my milk supply. I went in the hospital for a very bad asthma attack and couldn't breast feed for a couple of months I am doing much better now but my milk has not dried up but I cant even get an ounce of milk to pump. Can someone please let me know if there is any hope for me, because I am very upset and overwhelmed with the fact that I cannot provide my daughter with breast milk. I have tried the lactation tea I started it on the 3rd and have not got any results yet and im currently trying the lactation pills Fenugreek and still no results can someone please tell me what to do. thank you so much.

Re: Breastfeeding

  • I lost supply in one breast after a case of mastitis, I know it can be very frustrating and disheartening...I'm sorry you are going through this! About the tea, it's healthy do drink but my lactation consultant said you would need to drink gallons for it to make a huge impact. I have tried pumping inbetween feedings, feeding more often to increase demand, and I recommend "More Milk Plus" capsules by Motherlove. It has fenugreek plus other herbs such as blessed thistle which is thought to boost the effects of fenugreek. I have seen an increase but didn't happen over night. Good luck!
