8 weeks and symptoms starting to disappear - Update!

I am currently 8 weeks. For the past 2 1/2 weeks I have been exhausted, nauseous, having food aversions, and full, sore breasts. The past two or three days, everything has seemed to subside. My breasts still feel heavy but not as full or sore. I'm kind of tired but not as much, and I actually am getting an appetite back with hardly any nausea. I know I shouldn't worry and should be grateful that I'm feeling better but DH & I had an early miscarriage in January so this is the furthest along I've ever been. I don't go to the dr for another week. Has this happened to anyone else?

  • This happened to me too! Right around the same time. Its nothing to worry about. I just had an ultrasound Friday, and he is in there just a wiggling away. My doctor said a lot of symptoms peak by week nine and start to fizzle out slowly. I still get a little nauseous at times. But other than that I feel like my pre baby self! Hope this helps!!

  • Thanks ladies!
  • This happened to me at 8 weeks. I'm 10 weeks and still the symptoms haven't returned. Just fatigue and constipation....if you're worried buy a fetal doppler, I listen to the heartbeat daily. It brings me assurance
  • Do the fetal dopplers work? And do you have a recommendation? This is my second baby, 8 weeks also, but I think my 2 yo son would love to hear the baby's heart whenever he wants to. He's already so involved. He rubs mommy's belly, and kisses it all of the time. The other day my shirt was raised a bit and he pulled it down because "the baby was cold".
  • I am 8w4d and this is the same for me, too. Symptoms are there, but reduced. I'm staying positive, as it seems to be normal for many of us.

  • I'm 9w3d and I've noticed over the last week my symptoms are starting to dissipate.

  • I'm 9 weeks 5 days and noticed that my symptoms have started to disappear too... holding my breath bc last week symptoms were rough!
  • I actually just got off the phone with my doctors office because they had to reschedule my appointment for next week. While I had them on the phone I asked the medical assistant about it and she said that it can be totally normal for symptoms to come and go. She said since I'm not have any spotting or bleeding not to worry about it but if things change to call them and they'll have me come in. Otherwise she said just to keep my appointment for next week. Fingers crossed for healthy babies for all of us!
  • This happened to me right before I hit 9 weeks. For two or three weeks I felt terrible, there were days that I couldn't even get out of bed. Then over a period of 2 or 3 days, I felt fully functional again. I'm 10 weeks now and I have felt the same all week, more tired than usual and slightly nauseous if I have an empty stomach, but nothing near as bad as I was. I had a MC last March, so I was a bit worried, but after talking to my doc and reading some stuff online, it sounds like this is very common.
  • I've been exactly the same since 9 weeks! Nausea nearly gone, energy back, tummy is even flatter! Been so worried but it seems like it's happening to a lot of people around now! Got 12 week ultrasound in 15 days- can't come soon enough!

@liamsmommy09 - your little boy sounds so adorable, he will be a great brother :)
  • THANK YOU for this thread! I've been so worried. I'm 9 w now and never really had terrible symptoms, a little exhausted or super hungry here or there and definitely sore boobs. But my boobs feel less sore now and I mostly feel normal, weight is normal, just bloating. I called my Dr. And he said he'd see me if I wanted peace of mind but I just feel crazy.

This is my first pregnancy so I don't know what I'm supposed to be feeling! Where is my fundus? What's this pelvic hardening people are talking about? Any guidance you guys can give I'd really love it.
  • I am so glad you posted this. I was so nauseous and tired last week that I would collapse when I got home from work, and not wake up until morning. Then yesterday - suddenly nothing - no nausea - regular energy - been driving myself crazy about it. Boobs still slightly sore however. My next u/s is Monday and I will be 9 weeks then so I guess I just have to wait.

I'm at 7 1/2 weeks and I really hope this happens for me cause all day nausea is really messing with me :/
  • I'm glad so many of us are in the same boat! My nausea returned for a little bit this morning but I'm feeling pretty good! My first u/s is on Monday and I will be 9 weeks as well!
  • I spoke to soon... They're back.
  • Just to update...had my first ultrasound today at 9 weeks. Baby had a good heartbeat of 177. Measured an inch & is right where baby should be! And still feeling not as horrible as a few weeks ago!

I'm in the same boat right after I hit 9 weeks I woke up feeling normal which most would be ecstatic about but after having a MC last year I'm a ball of nerves. I've made an app to ease my anxiety and get some answers. I wish us all a healthy full term pregnancy. I know hat symptoms or lack there of don't indicate and unhealthy or healthy pregnancy but this thread has made me feel a tad bit better :)!
  • Yes fetal dopplers work. They're usually around 50 bucks. I got my sonoline b pocket doppler a couple months ago and it has been such a help to be able to hear the heart beating away in there.you can get them on Amazon
