Hi all! Waiting on a dating ultrasound (this Thursday!) but I believe I'll be due early March (possibly late feb). Anyone else STARVING all the time since finding out? Lunch is officially my favourite time of the day!
Yes! I want ALL THE FOOD! Always keep some snacks around, trailmix, crackers, yoghurt, whatever works. There's no messing with a pregnant woman's stomach.
I've not hit any big hunger points yet, although that could be I'm still riding the food coaster that breastfeeding is.
I did eat a plum today (my favorite) and had to stop and eye it suspiciously... During my first pregnancy I used to throw up every time I'd eat an apple. I'm hoping that fruit/pregnancy is not correlating or coming on this early... That time it wasn't til week 9 that I really started getting sick. At that point I had to switch from swallowable vitamins to the chewies. They saved me.
I go back and forth between super nauseous and starving. Right now rather than too many foods, I'm finding I'm chugging sparkling water. Thankfully we have a sodastream so it's way cheap.

Here the cravings started! Yesterday I asked my hubby to buy all the pickles he could find. He looked at me like I am crazy cause I hate pickles. Another craving is herring I keep wanting it but also before pregnancy never ate it! Too soon for cravings I would think but yeah it's happening...

The pickles was one of my "hmmmmmm maybe I should test". I ate a ton of baby dills the weekend before I tested. And yeah they're good, but I don't go out of my way to eat them.

Sorry to hijack but on cravings I had a dream about Kraft Mac and Cheese two days ago and made my husband drive me to the grocery store to look for it. We found a UK substitute but I'm totally skeptical it will do it for me. I may have to order some boxes from Amazon.

I've been craving sushi. Specifically, a spicy crabmeat roll (luckily it's a cooked roll) from a specific hibachi restaurant! Yesterday I made my hubby drive across town to get me one for takeout even though my dad was over and we were grilling huge amounts of food... I proceeded to eat a burger, half a deer steak, a large chicken breast, two ears of corn, marshmallows, and my sushi.... I'm super petite and I don't know where all this food is going!!
I am cool with eating, just a lack of appetite... but seriously something smells in my classroom. Now they are supposed to keep me away from strong smells (according to their assessment)... but seriously I teach science in a lab which is also across the hall from the home ec room where idiot kids are cooking shit food and burning it all the time....
9 days left... I can do it.. just 9 days left
Also I can't wash dishes right now.. going to invest in a pile of paper plates for the next few weeks

My soda stream was the only thing that got me through the morning sickness last time.

I literally stole food of my boyfriends plate yesterday because I was still SO hungry! It doesn't matter what food it is, as long as it is food. I do have a strong aversion against anything greasy or creamy, so I was very disappointed that my ceaser salad came bathing in dressing.
I go from ravishingly hungry to no appetite at all! And I can't figure out for the life of me, what "sounds good" to eat!! Im not in the mood for anything, yet im hungry and I usually love anything with tomatoes or sauce...but it all tastes like nail polish to me now

Do you love your soda stream? MH gave up drinking and insists we get one since he goes through a TON of soda now. I'm on the fence about it for two reasons:
1. How much use will we actually get out of it? 2. Seems like just another appliance to take up room on my already cluttered kitchen counter.

Ummmmm we go through 3-4L a day of sparkling water (sometimes with lemon juice, sometimes with nothing added). We've already been through one CO2 cartridge and it's only been a month of having it. It hardly takes up any room (like you could leave it in the pantry) and you don't plug it in. We were spending a TON on LaCroix sparkling water and now it has majorly saved us money. I recommend it to anyone.

Even I have a huge plate infront of me I can't even feel full at the moment when I finished my meal, max 1 and a half hour I usually start to eat another meal strange huh? I am the hungry hungry hippo
I've been pretty lucky so far. Not super hungry, no food aversions, no morning sickness....yet. I am only 4w6d though....so it could be coming. Or it could be because I was already eating 6 small meals a day of healthy foods.......so I may be preventing any MS. I also read that at this stage in the pregnancy I should only be increasing my food intake by about 100 calories a day. If morning sickness/food aversion prevent that, its not a big deal as my body has enough stored calories to make up for it. (my goal is to not gain any more weight than necessary as I already have a little extra "cushion" to me.)

I'm the same way - I'm really really hungry, but nothing sounds good!

Me too! Except for me it's peaches, raspberries, anchovies and chips. Everything else tastes gross.
