Muffin top

So prior to being pregnant, I was losing weight, but still had a muffin top that I was struggling to get rid of. Now, that I am 12 weeks along, I feel like my muffin is bigger, and not quite yet baby, and I just look like I've been gorging on nachos. So far, my weight gain has been about 6lbs. When and will my stomach stop being B shaped and have a nice D shape?

Full panel maternity pants are your friend! Helps smooth things out.

Agreed I'm 11 Weeks and bought a pair around when I found out
  • GOD it's so nice to see that there are others just like me!  I can stick my gut out too and I totally look like I'm 6 months.  I've always just had a big tummy even though my regular weight is about 135 (I'm 5'7").  I've been sucking it in for years, but now I've lost that power (I guess due to a slowly-growing uterus), so it just hangs out a lot further.  I got a belly band to try and keep things a bit more smoothed out and pushed in, and it works for the most part.  I said goodbye to my regular button-up pants weeks ago (unless I have the band or an elastic to help out)!  It won't be long before I go for some full panel mat pants :)

  • I've been saying this entire time that my love handles are growing as fast as my uterus. I've never felt like my love handles were a problem pre pregnancy. Haaa. Oh, the joys.
