I was sitting at work today deciding what I wanted for dinner and I really REALLY didn't want to cook so I ordered dinner at longhorn streak house. I was SO excited to go pick it up, sit on my nice comfy couch while stuffing my face, watching some Netflix so I called and ordered it. I got there my hubby's dinner was cooked and ready but MINE they didn't bother make because the cook "didn't see it" on the ticket. When I asked them how long it would be for them to make it...20 FRICKEN MINUTES!!! Yes 20 minutes to cook a meal that should have already been made. I live about 30 minutes outside of town so it would be about 50 minutes before I got home. I WAS so upset I almost started crying over food. (I know it's a bit ridiculous but Im pregnant and hungry so what could I say) I then proceeded to pay for my hubby's meal and leave with nothing for myself. Here I am hours later and I'm still upset about it. How dare they?????? A direct attack on a pregnant women's food!! I'm sure they didn't know I was pregnant but I do and it matters!
*please note: I know how ridiculous this is but I love eating
Re: Don't mess with my food, lady RANT
Yours is way more serious!!
It should be illegal to mess with a pregnant woman's food.
Edit: phone loves autocorrect.
We went to one restaurant that was closed and two more that were wall to wall packed.
I was shaking and crying by the time we got to the second restaurant. Finally got a bagel at Panera Bread at around 10:30! It was awful!!
Today I got frustrated because onions kept falling out of my 5 Guys. My phone has tear stains on it because i just kept getting angrier and angrier.
I mean it's not asking a lot, right? I don't have ANY cravings at all. I have ZERO interest in most foods other than fruit and Tim Horton's coffee. When i DO want food, I really feel like i earned it. And when i want to eat something substantial, I load the hump like a camel. It's a special day. It's an event.
And to screw that up? Some people have no souls, man. No souls at all.
Not. Happy.
Maybe this is God's way of preparing our partners for a toddler. You know... the irrational, overblown tantrums.
Seriously ladies, I know we're all absurd these days but at least TRY to not take it out on hapless employees.
I haven't had any tears over food moments but if my husband says "all right let's get food" and dawdles any, oh boy do I pester. "I AM GOING TO STARVE TO DEATH LET'S GO."
Want to make a PSA (as a server, bartender and restaurant manager). BE NICE TO WAIT/BAR STAFF!!! The job is extremely trying and they work hard. They have rules they have to follow and cannot always provide what you want. If you have a true problem with it, speak to management. And give your server 20%. Always. At least.
