Goober when I'm talking to people outside the family. Its the nickname I use for my godson and it just stuck. Arthur Tyrone when I'm talking to mum and SO. No idea where it came from, just popped into my head one day when mum said all the generic ones (baby, It, kid, etc.) were kinda weird for her.
I know this is weird, but my husband and I have been binge watching The Wire the past few months and randomly started calling the baby Wee-Bey because I feel like it's trying to kill me all the time. We crack ourselves up.
We call our 5 yr old goose because she use to always say " you're a silly goose" so we needed another animal name for this one. Before we started trying we had a secret board on Pinterest and I asked my husband what I should name it...he said "baby hippo" so our kids are referred to as goose and baby hippo. Lol I too fear I won't be able to call the baby it's really name and baby hippo will stick! Lol
We call our 19 month old goose too and she responds to it much better than her actual name lol
Our last name is Hamilton so I've been calling him or her "Baby Ham." Which has kind of bitten me in the ass because now everyone wants to find pig things for us...
I read this and can't stop thinking it's a hamlet.
Re: Just For Fun!
So funny !!! My name is Jilly and my nickname was/is Jilly bean... And I call my baby jelly bean..
My hubby calls its pumpkin
My MIL calls it skittles as I had a bad craving for them
I will usually just say "baby" but my husband likes to say "little o" since his name starts with an O and he really wants a boy
