How many stores should I register at?

This is my first child and should be finding out the sex tomorrow..hopefully! I thought of going to Target, Babies R Us and maybe Walmart. Would 3 stores be too many?

1! 2 at most. Managing multiple registries and duplicates seems like a Nightmare.

There was a topic about this a while back and someone said they registered at 10, what?! lol I think two is plenty. A baby store (buy buy baby or babies r us, there is really no need for both) and something like target for general essentials.

Oh my goodness I couldn't imagine 10 registries! Thanks for the help though ladies! I'll probably stick with the first two. We checked out walmarts baby department and it wasn't great quality (or at least to me)

Loved buy buy baby! I was going to do target for some decor and clothes but the. Was just too lazy to manage both :-) those would be my two recommends though.

With our first we registered at 2. We actually went to babies r us and started the registry at the store. However we also registered at target only because alot of my family lived somewhere that a babies r us was not around. I started the target one online. I know some people who do more but I think that's a little much. Like I said only reason we did 2 was because family wasn't around a babies r us.
