TTC with Endometriosis

Hi im my name is bre im young and i have endometriosis. I just found out a week ago at my OBGYN. I had made an appointment because i just could NOT conceive and i was havin sharp pains in my left side along with going 1 year without a period and then randomly starting regularly on my own this past april. He scheduled a laproscopy to be done thia friday and said hopefully ill be pregnant by Christmas. I was wondering if anyone has has any luck after their lap? And what your experience was with lap surgery.

Welcome op, unfortunately no ones experience, sucsesss or failure to get pregnant, will have any bearing in your own fertility. If you are having fertility isuues most women here will suggest getting a referral to an re as they are specialized in IF where as obs are specialized in pregnancy. Good luck op on your diagnosis.

Hi there,

Before I start, let me preface this by saying that my endometriosis was confined just to my ovaries. I had laproscopic surgery on 2 June to remove a Endometrioma (chocolate cyst) and to check my tubes were clear for TTC. I got a faint BFP today. My specialist told me that while some people have trouble conceiving with endo, there are lots who don't. It really depends on your body.

I don't want to give you false hope- I just want you to know that a diagnosis of Endo may not limit you from achieving your goals. Good luck! x
