Butt cramps, left side

Hi ladies, I am 25 weeks today and for the past few days I have been experiencing a severe muscle cramp in my left butt cheek, lol. Sounds kinda funny but the pain is so bad at times it takes my breath away and I can barely walk. I've been reading online trying to figure out what this could be and ways to alleviate the pain. I'm worried about going to work when I can barely move sometimes. Anyone else experiencing something similar?

Why not just talk to your doctor about it?

Sounds like it could be sciatic nerve pain, which is common on pregnancy. I also had this is the second tri but thankfully it was gone about halfway through third tri. Some women experience it for their entire pregnancy.

I did talk to the dr about it, she said it is likely sciatica and if it persists she will refer me to a pt. She said stretching and walking can help. But it is unfortunately common. Hopefully it gets better, not worse. I'm waddling from the pain like I am nine months pregnant already, lol.

THIS has been happening to me since about week 8-9!!! The pain radiates down from the top of my butt to the back of my knee. AWFUL.

She's correct.  I hope you get relief soon.  Maybe prenatal massage.  I got a memory foam topper and it helped tremendously with hip pain.  Try to stay away from Dr Google.  He'll make you crazy.

Hi,

I had this through out my first trimester. It was right in the lower back, tailbone, buttocks area. My doctor recommended some stretches for me to do but it actually went away when I entered my second trimester....but now my wrist hurts..it's never ending. There is always something new, hang in there!

Hey I'm 15 weeks and past 2 weeks I've had the same pain in my left butt
(Sciatica nerve pain) probably due to bub laying on a nerve! I use a heat pack and sit on it on that cheek. It comes and goes nothing to be worried about maybe Google some butt leg stretches

I'm 20 weeks and have felt ( I'm assuming) the same thing. It's a severe muscle cramp right in the middle of my left butt cheek. I guessed I just pulled a muscle or something. I have found that walking does help A LOT but only after a few minutes of pain first. I hope you find something that helps you!!
