January 2016 Moms

What week felt the worst?

I'm new to this birth club, my EDD is 2/2/2016 but I was informed at my appointment in Fri that I will be having a c-section in Jan. I'm feeling completely wrecked my nausea and fatigue at 8.5 weeks--can those of you entering your second trimester let me know which week for you felt worse and when it started getting better?

I know that we're all different, just want to see light at the end of the tunnel!

Re: What week felt the worst?

  • Week 5 was worst for me. I'm 13 now and it's good

  • The worst of it was between 6-8 weeks. It's starting to get better now at 11.
  • 11 was worst for me. 13 tomorrow and have been feeling better the last couple days

  • 6-10 were bad for me but 8 was by far the worst week of my pregnancy. Week 9 I was put on diclectin and it got a little better. Now at week 13 I have the occasional gag from a smell but no vomitting. Hang in there! If it's really bad talk to a doc about meds. I was afraid I wasn't "sick enough" but glad I said something because I have been able to go back to life on a regular schedule.

  • 6.5-7.5 was worst for me, it was honestly my only BAD week, and even then I never vomited (sorry ladies, lol). In week 9 now I'm battling fatigue but as a teacher on summer break I have tons of free time so the idea of midday naps hasn't been holding back my life at all luckily.

  • Weeks 6-8 were the absolute worst. I'm 10 weeks now and I've been feeling better for the last 5 days or so.

By the sounds of it everyone is totally different. I was worst 8-10 I'm 12 now and am slowly feeling better.

Week 7 was by far the worst for me. I felt nauseous all day and all I could stomach were saltines and lemonade! The 2nd half of week 8 was pretty bad because nothing I ate stayed down. I'm nearing 10 weeks and it's getting a lot better!

  • I'm 12 weeks and this is the worst I have been so far :-( vomited for the first time over the weekend. Before that it was constant nausea but no vomiting. My OB says I should start feeling better any day now so fingers crossed!
  • Week 6 and the following close behind week 12 and 13 kinda is sucky as well lol.
  • I am in the middle of week 11 and this has been the worst week for me yet. Fingers crossed that it is just getting worse right before it gets better!
  • I'm currently 9+4, I have had severe nausea and vomiting since week 6. It doesn't seem to be getting any better. I got some meds which made me feel better but they've run out so I'm back to super horrendous again. Not able to see a doctor until Thursday so just have to suck it up until then, which sucks when you are on a busy train and have to barge passed loads of people to make it to the bathroom to throw up!
  • Week 8 for sure! 9 was better, 10 even more so and I'm 11 today and feel fine... Worryingly fine! Hope you feel better soon!
  • week 5-6 I was so tired I never left the couch, and week 9 I felt a huge difference in energy level. I am in week 10 now and feeling pretty good, not much has changed since week 7-9.
  • @inameenabeena week 40-41 will feel the best ;)

Just try to keep your eyes on the prize at the end of this :) welcome to Jan '16 and here's hoping you start feeling better soon!

Weeks 8 & 9 were the worst the nausea, heartburn, indigestion, vomiting, etc was so discouraging. But Week 10 I started feeling a lot better day by day. My appetite picked up & my food aversions started to disappear. I'm 11 weeks today & I feel a lot better, I think I've been more sleepy & more emotional than the other weeks, I still battle indigestion but the nausea and vomiting is what was the worst so I'm happy that's gone.

I'd have to agree with this.  I am 10w1d now and between those weeks, I was having some serious MS and nauseous bouts.  I was also wrapping up my school year with the last few weeks of the year and I was so tired and unmotivated to do anything.  I was feeling like some of my students just trying to get through my days. The MS has pretty much subsided and while I am still tired and feeling achy at times, I am feeling like I have more energy these days.
  • Weeks 6 to 11 have been worst (I'm just now 11). Really hoping I feel better soon. I'm tired of puking all day.
  • I think weeks 7-9 were the worst for me... Yuck!
  • Worst was 6-8, major improvement during week 10.
  • 9-10 were hella dumb!
  • weeks 8 9 and then 10 HORRIBLE MORNING SICKNESS. I'm 11+3 and it's gotten better but it comes and goes, still. I'm trying to be positive about feeling almost normal by weeks 14-16.
  • I haven't hit the worst weeks yet. For me, the last weeks are always damn near unbearable! If I had to choose the worst of first tri, though, I'd say weeks 5-9 when I was on a rollercoaster of whether or not this pregnancy was gonna stick.

  • Week 6-9 were the worst for me. Just bad nausea and exhausted but thankfully I haven't thrown up. Now I only get nauseated every once in a while and it never lasts for too long. I'll be 12 weeks on Wednesday. Can't wait til it's completely gone!
  • Weeks 6-9 constant nausea, then on and off during weeks 10 & 11. I'm in week 12 now and it seems to be tapering!
  • Weeks 6-10 were the worst for me. I felt the most nauseous and exhausted. Now at 11 weeks I am gaining some energy back and not nauseous any more :)
  • Week 8 and 9 were the worst for me.

I will be 12 weeks tomorrow and week 11 has been the worst by far. I might go to the hospital today because I can't even make it to work. Throwing up everything including water. I've tried about everything I can think of. Zofran, ginger, eating before getting out of bed, B6, sea-bands, light meals and snacks, NOTHING has worked. I'm miserable and hope it's going to start getting better.
  • Week 7 threw 9 were the worst ..then week 10 was amazing .felt almost normal .Now week 11 seems to not be good.a lot more peeing at night .pressure in pelvic .woke up with headache nausea exhausted.hope this gets better I so wanna enjoy the first time being pregnant.

I can't understand how some women are able to do this over and over. My husband is one of 8! Do people forget how miserable they were feeling?
  • I'm 12 weeks and still very sick and very tired. Ready for the nausea and vomiting to stop and for an energy boost!
  • 7-9 were the worst, terrible heartburn exacerbated by anything and everything but generally existing all of my waking hours.

  • Week 10 was really the turning point for me.  It was crazy, like the switch just turned off. Weeks 6 through 9 i was throwing up everyday and every other day was really bad (8 plus times a day).  Now I am in week 11 and have not been sick for over a week.  Hang in there!!!
