@Sammy K , my husband used to sing "three little birds" to our baby in utero and now we both use it to soothe her. I definitely think she recognizes it!
"In the Jungle, the Mighty Jungle" sung by me, is what's working today. Also the most recent Beck album. Can't find a pattern for what LO likes, seems to depend on his mood.
He HATES the Warner Herzog reading of the book "Go the F@&$ to Sleep!" Screams every time, making DH and me laugh (cruel, I know).
I think my LO recognizes simon and garfunkel from her time in the womb so I sing that to her but mostly it ends up being showtunes because I'm a huge nerd. So far we've made it through all of Les Mis and In The Heights during our bonding-screaming time together.. "For Good" from wicked seems to be the best at calming her down so far!
I totally sing the song pippin in lord of the rings sings in gondor. Seems to help right now we listen to toddler radio helps that I love Disney and know all the songs.
LO is a huge Sam Smith fan, me and SO have the same three songs constantly on repeat but they work a treat for bed time and nap times (depending on LO's mood too obviously). Once upon a dream from Sleeping Beauty & I'm wishing/one song from Snow White have been good for general calming but honestly I sing everything from Lionel Ritchie's Hello to Pasty Cline's Crazy to try and soothe this beast.
Today I sang LO the entire Guster catalogue to get her sleepy. (Her middle name, Ramona, is actually a Guster song as DH and I met at one of their concerts!)
I also have taken to singing Bicycle Race by Queen when I do her anti-gas bicycle leg motions!

We sing Bicycle Race when cycling his legs, too! So funny.
To soothe him, I sing Bushel and a Peck by Doris Day.
DH and I have some...interesting...taste in music so we've learned that she hates Boondox, she loves this awful song "Sag My Pants" by Hopsin (thanks DH, your bad taste never fails) and from her mama's picks, "Vermilion Pt.2" by Slipknot, "Something in The Way" by Nirvana, and a very tone deaf rendition of "Killer Queen" by Queen.
Re: Songs to soothe LO

He also appears to calm to I See the Moon and Illinois Loyalty (subliminal messages so that he chooses my college over DH's... Lol!)
From this moment- Shania Twain
All of me -John Legend
Girl Crush- little big town
