Canned chicken?

Is it safe to eat precooked canned chicken? My husband is using it to make buffalo chicken dip in the crock pot. Can I eat it??

You can eat any meat as long as it's been cooked.

The advice I have heard and read is to throughly heat (to steaming) any meat item, even if it is precooked. So in other words canned chicken is completely fine, but make sure you heat it or the food that it is a part of.

By the way that's sweet for hubby to cook something!
