I've heard wives tales and all but I'm just too curious for my own good. I have 16 days left till I get to know but I am just curious. Please don't rip my head off for asking!
Simply put no, and even with an ultrasound if baby is not in the right position or it's too early you still might not find out. Hope you get some good news in 16 days for a healthy baby and hope you get to find out the sex.
You could have a blood test done called a panorama, they screen for Down syndrome and at the same time you find out the gender. I got it done it took about 10 days for the results, I know it's not an immediate answer and you still have to wait but it's always an option. I heard it's expensive if you don't have insurance though.
I was talking with my aunt and even though her kids are much older (30s and 40s) it reminded me that she didn't know the sex until her children were born. Waiting till your u/s, just 16 days, is lucky.

The blood tests are for those who are high risk and the purpose is to test for chromosomal disorders. Finding out the sex (not gender) is a side effect. It is not the purpose of the test.
This test should not be taken just because someone is not able to patiently wait for their anatomy scan.
Generally, the gender of a person is found without an ultrasound. I mean, you could use one I suppose, but the results won't be accurate. Andplusalso, you don't really find their gender until much later.
Now, for the sex of your baby, you can get a pretty good gusstimate with an ultrasound, but they are not 100% foolproof. WIthout an ultrasound altogether, well, if you can find the sex of your baby without one, make sure you patent that system...you could become a gazillionaire!!
I know, it's really frustrating and super hard waiting. Besides blood and a u/s there isn't anything you can do but keep yourself busy and distracted. The wives tales and calendars are all fun but hardly anything close to accurate. Everything we played with said we were having a boy but in fact a girl is on the way! Best of luck!
Re: Is there any way to find out the gender without a ultrasound?
1. Blood tests (harmony, etc).
2. Ultrasound.
3. Birth.
Be patient

You posted this knowing that you would get your head ripped off yet still did it anyway?
I can't even.
Edited for typo.
