Anyone else a firm believer in the moon? I'm 38+1 and I have a feeling he will be here this week with the upcoming full moon July 1!!

My dad says I'll have a full moon baby lol I hope he's right! But if he's wrong, I hope it's because she's earlier!

On our hospital tour the lady said they delivered a record number of babies the night before and that day. They blamed it on the full moon.

If you ask any labor & delivery nurse, they will tell you that they are always really busy on full moons! Here's hoping!!

I also heard the barometric pressure has something to do with it too. And the moon affect tides. Maybe it affects amniotic fluid too.

That must be what has caused this to come on. Tossed and turned all night and this morning with pain like period pain and they keep getting closer. Probably calling doc soon. Up until now I barely felt anything

o.O that would be perfect! He'd be 39 weeks. I'd be out of the hospital right in time for my birthday on July 4th.

Somehow I doubt it though, little one seems perfectly content to cook, I'm not even waddling yet.

Omg yes! In ems, full moons mean newborn babies and crazy people all night. It sounds silly but it's totally true.

I had DD on a full moon. They even said when checking me in they had to be 100% sure my water had broken before I was admitted becaUse they were so busy that evening.

So July 1 is the next one? This gives me hope. I've been 3-4cm for over a week now and NOTHING. maybe that's what she's waiting on.

There was a full moon with my son when I was around 39 weeks, and he still came almost a week late :-q Maybe this little guy will be different!

Okay I lied. I just looked up the full moon for May 2013 because I couldn't remember. Apparently the full moon was on the night/morning that he came. So that makes me excited lol

I hope this is true. The only bad this is that I would want to go into labor when L &D is super busy since my hospital doesn't have a huge number of private rooms. I am so worried about having to share a room since that is not a time I want a stranger for company!

I will be 37 weeks fri and am hoping for a July 4th baby...i told him thats independence day for him...i sure hope he listens!

Yes true believer I just got out labor and delivery in there 16 hours with horrible contractions even some 2 min apart ... Got send home because I would not dilate more than 1 but they said I will probably see you in a couple days ......

I was born on a full moon and my edd for my baby is July 2. I wouldn't mind him coming a day early [-O<

I'm hoping! I want him to be here by the 4th but anytime earlier would be great lol. I get induced on the 8th if he decideds not to make an appearance by then. Just can't wait to meet my baby ❤

Interesting! I wouldn't be opposed to her coming on the 1st! I'd rather the force of nature decide her birth than her scheduled c-section on the 6th any day!

I just looked back at the full moon calendar a few years ago. In August 2011, it was on the 13th, I went into labor on the 11th and she was born on the 12th. So if the same holds true, (which I hope, I'm due on the 6th and very ready), it means that this little one will come on Tuesday we shall see!!!

I have an Aug 2011 baby too!!
He's August 6 so we didn't quite make it to the full moon. (Or his due date of aug 20!)
This one is scheduled July 6. So we will see if the moon makes her come before!

My due date is July 1st. I've been suffering through this 2nd pregnancy. I've done as much research as I can and praying to that moon to pull this baby out. I want so badly a natural birth not an induced labor. Please message if any of u mommies have urs on the full moon!!!

I asked my doctor about that and she said that it's a fact that the hospital is busier with new babies being born during full moons! So July 1st is when my husband and I are expecting our little man to come

I have three friends who just had their babies in the past 36 hours...all early! 2-5 weeks early..something is happening! Let's see what tomorrow brings!!

I completely agree the moon has something to do with ladies going in labor! I'm scheduled to be induced in the morning but I can only imagine how busy they will be. My induction date was moved from today to tomorrow bc they were so busy!

@kmommy5 -- I've had continuous BH contractions all night for the past 3 nights, some waking me up because they're painful.  A few irregular, painful contractions during the day.  Waiting to see if they'll turn into anything... we'll see!

There was a full moon with DD#4 a few days after her edd but she still didn't come until 42 weeks. I am hoping this full moon works its magic better
