Fluid around his heart

hello. I have not posted before. I've had 4 ultrasounds and everything looked good. Today (25 weeks 6 days) I went for a growth scan due to my age (35) and hypothyroidism. The dr said there is more fluid around than heart than is normal. I had to get blood drawn and will go back next week to see if the fluid is still there.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Last year my sister in law was pregnant with twins and one had fluid in her stomach. They were very worried about it..she had several tests done and all major problems were ruled out. She had and ultrasound every week up until delivery and the fluid just went away on its own but it definitely took a few weeks for that to happen. If I recall the dr said it was possible that the baby contracted some sort of sickness in the womb and just got better over time. Now I know fluid in the stomach is different than the heart but I thought id share that it did go away on its own so perhaps fluid around the heart could be the same?

Yeah I've heard of things like that healing themselves over time. I hope everything is fine with baby!!!
