Baby Names

Does this sound ok for little sister to big sister Peyton?

For a girl we are thinking of Avery with middle name Leslie (my dads and my middle name, he passed 10 years ago) , our last name is Newbury.
Do you think it sounds ok? Avery Leslie Newbury

  • All three names have the same ending sounds so it sounds funny to me. I think you can do better.
  • I agree with pp! Too much long e at the end of each name.

The other first names we were considering was Sage or Kendall.

  • Love, love, love Sage! I'm a sucker for a lot of "nature" names.

My aunt has a little boy who is 3, his name is gage. Do you think that is a big deal? We are a very close family. However we do live in another country and only see each other once or twice a year.

Oh I don't think that's a big deal at all. Especially since they are different sexes.
  • Sorry but I agree with the others, Avery doesn't sound right with your last name. I'm not a fan of your other two name choices either.
  • Like Sage better
  • I don't like that all 3 names end with the long e sound. I think you need a different first or middle name.
  • India Leslie Newbury
    Alexa Leslie Newbury
    Gemma Leslie Newbury
    Carys Leslie Newbury
    Ava Leslie Newbury
    Chole Leslie Newbury
    Misha Leslie Newbury
  • IDK, Peyton strikes me as a unisex name so I think if you give the sister anything more delicate, Peyton will take it as an insult to her femininity down the road.

I think Avery sounds fine with Newbery, and great with Peyton in a sibset, but not with Leslie as a middle name too. Kendall would sound better since it seems the middle name isn't negotiable.

Sage is more feminine than the other two, so a no-go with Peyton imo.
  • 2 wrongs dont make a right
  • I agree, Avery makes too many of the same sounds. I like Sage slightly better but Kendall goes better with Peyton since they are both unisex. All three are NMS but perfectly fine.
