6 weeks between appointments?

i had my first appointment June 9th, then an ultrasound on June 16th. The baby is healthy, I am very healthy and my midwife was very pleased. I know I shouldn't worry because my midwife was so happy, but I'm curious. My next appointment isn't until July 28th, is that normal?

I would say that's still sooner than most. Some women won't go in until 20 weeks after they first see baby at 6-7 weeks. My first appointment was June 1st and my next is coming up mid July! If everything looks great, no need for lots of visits. Just relax and trust your body

How many weeks will you be on 7/28? She could be lining you up for your anatomy scan so you'll hit 20 weeks then.

Even if you did go in, all they would do is take your vitals, collect urine and test it and ask if you have any questions (if they are nice). My second appointment I'll be 14 weeks and they already told me I won't even see my actual OB.

Usually at this stage it's every 4 weeks, but 6 isn't too far out. They might be pushing you out to a point where they confidently feel like they can find the heartbeat with the Doppler to avoid stress of not being able to find it.

Im glad you brought this up. I went in at 7 weeks and my next one is at 15 weeks. They did a phone check-in with me this week (10weeks). I was kinda assuming they would want to see me sooner/more. I guess we just wait and try to not overthink it.

I had my first official appointment on June 1st for my 8 week, based on LMP I was 7 weeks 6 days but the ultrasound measured it at 7 weeks 3 days. My next appointment in July 9th for my "12 week" ultrasound but based on my last ultrasound measurement I should be 12 weeks 6 days. Technically my appointment schedule is every four weeks at the moment, but my actual appointments are 5.5 weeks apart. So don't worry too much about it. It is just annoying to have to wait longer at this point. Looking forward to my next appointment!!!

Im 9 weeks 6 days and still havent had an ultra sound. The wait is killing me but i go in monday!

I had my 8 week ultrasound. I have another one at 10 weeks then again at 12 weeks. I think it just varies by the ob...good luck

I had my last appointment at 7 weeks, and they're having me wait until 15 for the next one as well.  Even with daily bleeding.  I was surprised too, not to mention, I'm very anxious.  Just kinda sucks because personally, I don't want to tell anyone until I see a healthy baby outside of the "danger" zone.  Having to wait until 15 is painful lol!

We had our first appointment at 8w.  Because my husband and I opted to do the DS screening, I am scheduled to go back within 4-5 weeks of my first scan, in order to do blood work for a second time, ultrasound, and then meet with the Dr. I am not certain if I would have been coming back so soon, had we not decided to do that test. I'll be 11w5d at this scan, but I am willing to bet the next time I go in, once this one is done will be for the anatomy scan/18-20 week checkup.

My first appt with the ob isn't until Tuesday. I'll be 10+4. I doubt I will have any sort of ultrasound until 20w, but should have at least one appt in between those. Early pregnancy there isn't a whole lot to do. More frequent visits happen in 3rd tri.
Your scheduling sounds normal to me.

That's interesting. My clinic accepts new pregnancies at 9 weeks, they have the first ultrasound and dating ultrasound the same day, and then they proceed to see you every four weeks until partway through the third trimester where they see you every two weeks. They do the genetic ultrasound stuff within the first trimester and then the next ultrasound would be at about 18 - 22 weeks.

My first appointment was at 6 weeks, had an ultrasound. Second appointment at 10 weeks heard the heartbeat on the Doppler, no ultrasound & they took a lot of blood & urine. My appointments are every 4 weeks until week 26 I think. Then it's every two weeks.

My doctor saw me at 8 weeks (but the bean measured 9) and he sees his patients ever 2-3 weeks, which I like for the reassurance that everything is ok.

I will be 14wks tomorrow. My first ultrasound was at 7wks2days on May13th and my second one I should be 19wks2days on August5th! It's been almost 7wks since I seen my LO!!! I am slightly envious of some of you ladies that get to see your babies so much/often, but I am excited to see how much my child has grown and to find out if it's a boy or girl. ">
