I was reading through that ridiculously civilized thread, and about to respond, when it was shut down. The only reason I can think of as to why it was stopped was because of the original post. That was the only one that read as attacking to me.
Our regular posters are intelligent, well spoken, helpful and passionate women who like to dialogue about pregnancy and sometimes disagree. What more can you ask for?
Besides bunnies, and kittens.

MariahOBrien - Is your cat a tortishell!? I had a female, and they truly are super bitchy haha but still my favorite by far. It's like I was drawn to her rudeness. Just made me love her more.

oh cat mamas... i need a little sympathy. I had to take one of my cats to the vet this morning and leave her there for a procedure (nothing big or anything to worry about). I felt like the WORST cat mama ever as she cried in her carrier and gave me the saddest look as I was leaving her there. I hate having to take her to the vet. Poor kitty

Both of my cats LOATHE the carrier. I feel awful when I have to take them to the vet! Just give her some kisses and pats and snacks and she'll forget alllll about the trauma endured while temporarily confined in her own personal, cat carrier hell.

Aw, I'm so sorry.  I totally understand!  Last time I took my cat to the vet, she pooped INSIDE the carrier and then sat in it.  I felt so awful.  I hope your kitty feels better and that you do, too!

Ok, one last one, I promise.  I feel like I hold back so much on sharing cat photos that when there's an opportunity, I just go nuts.  But I'm cutting myself off after this one, I swear!  

So, this is the picture I took the first day we met our kitties.  Blackberry is Autumn's mom and she was in really rough shape, having just come from another home where she was being neglected before arriving where we got her.  Autumn was still nursing.  They were so strange looking and messy, but we just fell in love with them anyway.  I love this photo because they're both so adorable and such hot messes.  We couldn't stop laughing at Blackberry's face for the first week we had her.

@jenn2132, she came with her name - wish we'd thought of it!  It's pretty fitting.  My mom came to visit for Christmas and got drunk and kept calling her "Blueberry"  and "Blackbear."  Anything but her actual name of course.  It gives me little hope for her interactions with this baby

@anorthro Normally I am not a huge cat person but those kitties look way too character laden to get annoyed with. I'm loving the stink eyes. That made my day. @bgriest I know your pain There are days where I want a puppy to hang out with me soooo badly. I've never not had a dog. Although if I wasn't concerned about personal family pics on a site like this, I would totally post the video of my three year old niece locking my husband, both of them in their Christmas morning PJ's, into the dog's kennel. Whenever I need my mood lightened, I just watch that.

Just wanted to share my crazy, but currently lazy, boys!!! Came home on lunch break to them snoozing away on their daddy's gym bag!

I'm quite jealous. I'd love to curl up with them and take a nap!

Cats rule! I have 4 at the minute but I would honestly have 400 if I could. There is not a doubt in my mind that I will be the crazy cat lady off the Simpsons when I'm older. Can't wait!
