stretch marks!

I know I know, stretch marks are part of pregnancy. I got them in my boobs pretty early. I don't have them on my belly yet but I'm sure it's coming but I am getting them on my thighs! I'm 25 weeks, have gained 20 lbs. I'm eating pretty healthy and stay pretty active. Why are my thighs blowing up?! And what can I do to get rid of stretch marks? My sister says they will go away but I was always told they are permanent. Anybody have any remedies??

  • Ive gained 20 as welland have them on my thighs now..ive started walking more and using cocoa butter and drinking alot more water.not sure what else can be done..

  • Stay hydrated, keep your skin moisturized, and gain weight at a slow pace. I personally believe this is all you can do to control what you can, and the rest is up to nature. As for getting rid of them, I don't think that can happen, but I know that they should be far smaller and less noticeable after baby arrives. You've earned those stripes, mama! You are in good company as many mothers out there have stretch marks from their LOs, so hopefully you can find solace in knowing that it's part of the process for many.
