2. I don't mind certain chevron prints, but the ones with grey apparently bother DH a lot lol.
3. I don't plan to have my kids baptized because DH and I are not religious. Before we were even married people told us we were selfish for making that decision. I would just rather let my kid choose what religion (if any) they want to follow, and they can be baptized when older.
Not a huge chevron fan. I'm typically not a fan of anything that's overly popular, even if it's something I liked when no one else did.
Our kids won't be baptized. We aren't religious and don't go to church. Due to some life events, I don't even believe in God anymore. People like to call you out on all the decisions you make when you have a kid, but the thing is, it's not their kid. If they don't like it, they can have their own and do what they please.
I got married last July and I still haven't changed my last name. I don't plan on it either. I like it and I have no time to deal with that.
My SIL refuses to change her name too. Her married name is so generic that she doesn't want to deal with it. She hyphenated for awhile, but changed it back to her maiden name because random strangers on facebook were messaging her sexual innuendos because the last name was Favors-Johnson. Um, yeah...

HA! Yea I would definitely be on the same page as your SIL. We did everything the non-traditional way anyway. Had our son and then got married, so I don't think this is that big of a deal

I'm the opposite - I couldn't wait to change my name. But not for the reason most people do. Just because I wanted one name that people could spell correctly without my help.

Both my husband and I are atheists. Our families were pretty upset we didn't baptize our DS so I'm sure they will start bugging us again when this little bean is born. We won't budge on this decision though.
I kept my name. DH encouraged me to. I'm happy with my decision, but a little sad my kid won't have my name (not a fan of hyphenation). We may use my name for a MN.
My UO is that I tried to read Fifty Shades of Grey and absolutely hated it.
A FB friend took a pic at Barnes and Noble of a stack of books in the teen section that are classic books (Shakespeare) in texting language. She and a bunch of her friends were talking about how horrible and depressing it was. Personally, I think that's kind of cool. It would be a fun, engaging supplement in a high school English class or something. I think we should get kids engaged in classic literature however we can.
I don't think people should have to explain why they would or would not do genetic testing. I don't think ignorance is bliss but I don't care what decisions others make on that issue.
I have never seen Twilight, Harry Potter or the Hunger Games. For some reason when there is a lot of hype about a movie series I have less desire to see them. It must be the rebel in me.

Speaking of male celebs... My celeb crushes are all smart/funny guys rather than typically hot hunky guys. Like... I'd rather be with Matthew Gray Gubler or, IDK, Steve Carrell, than someone like Channing Tatum.

Although of course I do love Leo.
Totally with you on that one. Sure, I can agree a guy is good looking, but my actual celebrity crushes tend to be guys that most wouldn't consider classically hot.

I like the dark kinda creepy guys like Jake Gyllenhaal and I loved Robert Downey Jr.-pre Iron Man though...
I am not a fan of the hand heart over the belly thing either.
I can't stand the way young girls talk these days. Like valley girl mixed with text talk. My niece is beautiful and crazy smart but she sounds like a moron when she talks.

I'm kind of worried about future generations. I work with a lot of young people and most of them aren't cut out for full time jobs and being adults anymore, even at 22. Thankfully, it's not all of them, so maybe there is hope?

I think every generation thinks this, and they're always wrong. Kids today will be fine. They will be incredibly technologically savvy, more open-minded and tolerant than any previous generation, more open to creative problem solving and innovation, and they'll mature as they grow up. Lots of young people today are doing really amazing things.

I am not a nice person because of hormones so if you don't want the truth, don't ask my opinion. My SO did not like me telling him pizza is making him fat. Love hurts. I am eating fruit popsicles for meals because I can't tolerate anything unless it's cold.
I don't understand why people need an expensive/trendy diaper bag, I mean it holds stuff for your baby/kid (yes, and you but still I just don't get it).

I just want something that looks good, will hold up well, meets my needs and doesn't cost a fortune. I don't carry a purse when I carry a diaper bag, so looks do matter to me.

These are valid things to want but when I see some of these diaper bags that are $200 plus dollars, I just cringe.
I love that my kids play video games. They are regulated on time and what not, so they don't play them 24/7. I think it has really helped my oldest son with his problem solving skills. It's definitely been a huge perk to his fine motor skills. Plus it's fun for us to be able to play things with them. We have Halo nights and rotate through playing games.
To continue with the UO of no pants and bare belly pics. .. posting pics where you are clearly naked and your parts are barely covered by a sheet. DH'S cousin posted these on FB (with hair and sheet blowing in the wind). She looks like trailer trash. No one ever wants to see that.
Channing Tatum is yuck. On the topic of Matthew Mcconaughey my husband flew him and his family a few months ago and he said he didn't smell at all and he was a super nice guy. His kids were also really well behaved and very polite. Nice to hear that!

I'd totally pay that much if the bag had resale value - once you've seen how much people pay for Tulas and cloth diapers, $200 doesn't seem like anything.
