Torture

Is it absolute torture for anyone else to go to the grocery store?  I feel so nauseous and with all the sights of food and smells, it just about did me in today.  I managed to hold it together until I got home, then all hell broke loose.

Re: Torture

  • I had to leave the grocery store once because I couldn't stand the smell of the bread isle. It made me so nauseous, luckily I was able to hold it together and the feeling passed after I left. My DH though, thought it was the funniest thing in the world!

  • I couldn't hold it together today while grocery shopping X_X luckily I made it to the bathroom just in time. My poor 2 year old had no idea what was going on. It was awful!
  • I cant stand grocery shopping at the moment - had to use their bathroom once to throw up and it was so grotty only worsened the situation. A shop worker came in and offered me a bottle of water.... embarassing! DH was so worried though coz I had just run off - I was scared to talk for fear I'd vomit:( gotta love all day 'morning' sickness
  • I feel you! Walmart overwhelmed me last week and I made it out the door and proceeded to gag my way through the parking lot. So embarrassing lol. I didn't actually vomit, but the noises I made were punishment enough for me and passerby. :P
  • I got diagnosed with hyperemesis weeks ago so have learnt to carry those 'vomit bags' with me everywhere I go..
Right before I got diagnosed, I vomited twice while foidshopping... In the shops and vomited in a Cafe while out to lunch with my partner haha plus multiple times in gutters around the place. Vomit bags are my new best friend right now hahaha I feel much more comfortable going out now.

  • They are awful these days. Mine was cooking some kind of fish samples a few weeks ago and I just bought what I already had in my cart and left.
  • I usually did okay in the grocery as long as I wasn't near the detergent/soap aisle. Restaurants were what got me. Fortunately at almost 12 weeks, that seems to be getting better.
  • Omg yes. I normally love the grocery store (totally into cooking, trying new veggies, etc) but lately it's like I don't know what I want, the meat and seafood aisle is terrrrible, and I'm zoned out and impatient, which is a really weird combo!
