I can't stand the way people seem to be so resentful about buying others gifts!! Honestly buying things for others is fun, and doesn't have to be expensive if you put a little thought in! It seems so selfish to me.

  • Also the word panties. Probably the grossest word ever. It's banned in my house.

Panties is the absolute worst! It is infantalizing and sexualizing all at once. All I can think of when I hear that word is sexual predators. Am I alone in that?

Yes! Completely agree. Panties is a horrible word. *Shudder* It absolutely makes me think pedophile. They are underwear, theee end.

  • That's why I hate going to Victoria's Secret. I call them underwear. I could never work there if they force you to say panties.

Amazingly, they have these little pills and devices on the market that can help you continue to party on in skinny jeans. I know there are oops babies, but please!
    Ok, rant over :)

I refer to my own underwear as underwear but consistently refer to my husband's boxer briefs as panties just to mess with him/the world. I agree with everyone that it's a gross word - but sometimes being aggressively gross to my partner is my kinda fun, I guess!

Worked in retail during the holiday season - OMG if you're miserable buying a person you love a gift then GIVE THEM NOTHING. You sucky human.

P.S. I don't think I've ever said the word panties out loud because that's how uncomfortable it makes me. haaaa

I'm sorry but to me, this is just wrong on so many accounts. Whether your baby is an "oops baby" or a planned one, not everyone is necessarily ready for the emotional and physical changes that come along with pregnancy even if they are in fact ready to have a baby. I think your rant is insensitive and ignorant to the changes a woman goes through while pregnant. They don't bother you? Great for you! But that doesn't mean they aren't real issues a soon-to-be mother faces.
  • I know I'm going to be flamed for this, but.... I can't stand people who don't get the NT scan done with the reason of, "I'll love my baby no matter what", but then still find out the gender. Why does it matter if you'll "love your baby no matter what". Many people test for chromosomal abnormalities so they can prepare before birth. The same reason many find out the gender early.

I just want to emphasize, that I don't think everyone needs an NT scan, and I get that people get it for different reasons, but that is NOT what I'm talking about as my unpopular opinion.

What about women who have issues with food and eating disorders? They aren't allowed to have kids because they might have a hard time with weight gain/body changes? This rubs me the wrong way and you sound really judgemental. It's not all about the size 2 for everyone who talks negatively about how they feel.

I'm going to quote myself here, because I didn't fully read her whole post before I responded. My initial response was referring to the first part about the "I'm so fat posts." I definitely don't feel that your second part of your post is acceptable, whether it was an oops baby or not. ETA originally quoting momona1. Don't know why my quote box messed up
