Every time someone tells me how many weeks I have left, instead of how many weeks along I am, I kind of freak out. I mean, 15 weeks? I passed that 10 weeks ago. It flew by. Gah!
I'm only 22 weeks but still kind of freaked out by the fact that I only have 18 weeks to go. That's nothing. This baby will be here before we know it. I'm excited and scared and OMG my life is about to change dramatically. So many emotions.
I kinda freaked out last week because we had NOTHING ! I thought OMG we're gonna be at the last minute buying everything. So I went to Walmart and found a $300 crib for $99.
I'm even sooner at 14 weeks left!! We have some small things wipes, 60 outfits(which isn't bad), a co-sleeper, knap nanny, boppy, dresser and tons of headbows. Just waiting on my baby shower! Ahh!
I kinda freaked out the other day when I realized I could have as few as 12 weeks left, though 15 if I make it to my due date.
Crib mattress is ordered and will be here as soon as next Thursday. Car seat canopy has shipped. New cover for the Boppy and a mattress pad for the crib will be ordered today. We've got clothes and diapers already. I just need to check into which breast pump my insurance will cover and check if my old one will still work in case I find out what's covered isn't at least as good.
15 weeks seems like forever and a very short time at once.
This totally freaks me out!!! We are going to be moving when I am 30 weeks so I'm collecting things but nothing is getting set up yet. I just got the crib yesterday. Dresser, mattress and glider are on their way. Baby showers are in a month! It feels like I wanted time to get moving in the beginning and now I'm like slooow down!
@brooklynbroussard, I guess with this being my 3rd, I'm in no rush to get the nursery going like with the first. Sucks that I sold or gave away all my baby stuff though. So I am starting from scratch, but no hurry lol. I literally have only bought a few days worth of clothes so far. I need to focus on the nesting and cleaning up tiny choking hazard toys from my girls rooms first!!!
Thanks @jts2015, I will check it out. Anyone here getting a mini crib instead of a full size? I'm thinking it would fit better in my house at this point, since babes is going to be in my room for the first year.
I have less than 12 weeks since I have complete placenta previa (which they don't anticipate resolving). TWELVE WEEKS!!!!!!! Wtf?!?! I'm really not ready. Nothing is washed or set up. My car seat is covered in dust out in the garage. I'm sure there are spider webs on the baby stuff downstairs. Crap! I better get moving!!! Now I'm freaked out! (

When my ticker on my bump app stopped saying 19 weeks pregnant, 21 weeks to go. Now it says 22 weeks pregnant 18 to go!
OMG! It's counting down now!!! Its totally freaking me out.
Lol it feels so good to know that I'm not the only one who hasn't really did anything yet. Who know how long we will actually get the crib set up. We don't have the bedding yet
I'm 25 weeks along, and like @aah1013, I have placenta previa. I have an appointment to check on the location of the placenta in three weeks, and the wait is driving me nuts. It is so frustrating not knowing whether to expect the baby as soon as 12 weeks from now, or as many as 16. That is a difference of a whole month! I haven't signed up for any childbirth classes yet because I don't know whether or not I'll have to have a c-section.
My shower is this weekend. Can't wait for it to happen, so I can start buying things in earnest. We have very little so far. My husband will be out of town until the end of July, so big things like the crib will have to wait. I know that everything will get set up in time, even if someone has to make a frantic shopping trip while I'm in the hospital, but I want it all done yesterday!
I'm used to being in control. It's hard to accept the fact that so many things about the biggest event of my life are out of my hands for the time being. I suppose it's a good lesson--a lot will be out of my control after this baby is born.
i agree with @frozenmommy -- i will be 26 weeks tomorrow and 14 weeks still seems super far away! my husband is type A and he is freaking out though. he already set up the crib and the baby's dresser. my mom was in town visiting and she generously gifted us his car seat and stroller so we went out to buy that together. hubs has assembled those and read the manuals, lol. my first baby shower is a little more than two weeks away. and my sister is coming to visit with my nephew (who will be ~8 months) in a couple of weeks and is bring all of his 0-9 month stuff that he doesn't fit anymore/didn't use. but no matter how fast and furious all of these baby prep events are occurring i still feel like october 2nd is eons away! honestly if left to my own devices i'd wait til august to do anything. i am a chronic procrastinator, though!
Am I the only one that thinks 15 weeks is an eternity??? I have about 16 most likely, and I feel like time is standing still!
I feel like it's a long time, but at the same time I know when it's over it'll seem to have gone by fast. When I first found out I was pregnant and had 36-ish weeks ahead of me, 16 till the anatomy scan, etc, it seemed like forEVER. And when I think of how long I still have to be pregnant . . . But the weeks go by so fast!
I asked my husband when we were going to rearrange kids' rooms and get the crib out and he said sometime in the fall - after he gets some projects done. Well now I'm scared. He's been working on the same "projects" since we moved here 7 years ago. I better at least check if my carseat is expired, I suppose.
14.5 weeks left, if I go full-term...and I have never gone full-term. I am fortunate that I kept everything from when my 5 year-old son was a baby, but everything has been in the basement and needs to be washed (e.g. Bassinet, swing covers, bouncy seat covers, everything.). I have tons of clothes, blankets, etc., but they are all in unmarked boxes in my basement..,I need to take a weekend to go through probably 50 boxes, so I can find newborn clothes, blankets, bassinet/crib sheets, burp clothes..,EVERYTHING! And when I think of that, along with the cleaning/washing/reorganizing, it makes me just want to go buy a bunch of new stuff!
We are moving over the next two weeks so we haven't really bought anything yet (plus will mostly be registering for things- rather than buying ourselves yet- for my shower since this is our first baby). As soon as we settle into our new place then I'll feel like I can finally start to decorate It does seem like time is going by so quickly all of a sudden! We are taking birthing classes already (the later ones wouldn't work with our schedule so we are kinda early, I know) and that's making me get really excited. Eeee!!
lol men and their "projects". My BF works 12+ hrs a day do it will be a challenge to find time to have him set the crib up.
Hahaha! Yes. Mine had a list of about 8 things he wanted to build for the nursery. It took a couple weeks of me gently suggesting we buy a few things, one trip to IKEA, and me pointing out the $40 shelving system to convince him to just say no to weeks upon weeks of building crap in the basement. Thank goodness he listened to reason
I have 17 weeks left... I cannot believe it! It seems so far away, but at the same time, it's so close! I just pre-registered at the hospital, schedule a tour of the maternity ward, and sent the guest list/addresses to the women who are hosting my shower! *sigh* before long, I will have my handsome son in my arms. I'm so looking forward to it. <333
O'15 September Siggy Challenge -- Third Trimester Woes
I'm in the same exact boat with its being #3 lil shopping done, sold all old bb stuff and starting from scratch. I'm also more nesting toward the preping of house with some deep cleaning my boys are pretty good about keeping toys cleaned up.
17 weeks for me and I cannot wait for it to be over. I just constantly worry about something going wrong. I wish I could enjoy this pregnancy more and relax!
Hrmm... only 14 weeks left for me! I have so much to do. All we've done is paint the nursery!!
Our nursery isn't even cleaned out lol we used it for storage since we've moved in so it has boxes of pictures and books. And we keep the dogs crate in there lol idk where we're going to put that.
16 weeks for me! I feel like it's flying and dragging at the same time! I think my husband is even more antsy than I am! I don't think it helps that our nursery is only waiting on the bedding to be complete. He said just walking by makes him even more impatient.
13 weeks to go! Like whaaaat?! Scared and so excited! Everything for nursery is here, I just have to finish painting the furniture white! Bring on the babies!
I have 23 weeks to go!!! Well damn I feel like it's gonna fly by! But I CAN NOT do anything until my "guests" move out.... I just hope that I do not go early... That is my fear that I won't have my nursery ready when the baby comes. My "guests" are due to leave in mid Aug....
