Help making diclegis

I'm out of town and ran out of diclegis, so I called the nurses line like my dr told me to do if I ever needed to make it myself. The nurse tells me that she talked to the girl working at the front desk (??) and it's 25mg B6 and half a Unisom. I ask what the dose of Unisom is and she said that there's only one kind of Unisom. Umm, ok. She then tells me I can take that 3 times a day.. and then changes her mind and says 4. So does anyone know exactly what is recommended? I'm a little hesitant to trust what she says.

A unisom tab is 25mg and they are easy to break in half to 12.5mg. These are regular strength tabs.

I'm not sure of what is normally recommended in this case but you should be mindful that there are actually TWO types of unisom: diphenhydramine and doxylamine. Check the package carefully and make sure that you get doxylamine. One tablet of unisom contains 25mg of doxylamine, so half is 12.5mg. Honestly, I would try 3 times daily at first because 4 times daily of that much immediate release doxylamine (diclegis is extended release) will probably make you quite sleepy.
