hi ladies, when you had your first ultrasound was anyone further along then you thought? Or is it usually the other way around based on the first day of your last period?
It could go either way. I have 35 day cycles so I wasn't as far along as calculated by LMP. I know someone who thought they were 9w and found out at their first appt they were actually 20w along.
I am 8 days further than I thought this time. With my last pregnancy I was 3 weeks further than I thought! That was a nice surprise! I've ways had irregular cycles though and basing it on LMP was always a bit of a gamble. xx
My ultrasound proved what I already knew, that I was almost two weeks further along than my obgyn originally thought. I was going by when I was ovulating and the date I was fairly sure I concieved. Had she been correct it would have meant I concieved at the very end of my last period which was unlikely. She was going by the size of the baby on the sonogram (I think that's what it's called... where they stick the wand up your vag?)
