How to Deal with Seperation Anxiety??

For the past week or so my LO gets super upset whenever I leave her sight. As soon as I come back into her line of vision she gets super happy like nothing is wrong. It has been making it extremely difficult to get anything done around the house. I don't want to encourage her to continue to do this, but I also can't stand hearing her cry like that. Has anyone experienced this? What can I do?

My LO is seven months and the same thing happens to me. Daytime naps are awful --she won't sleep in her crib.

Every night, I have my hubby put baby to sleep and she'll some times cry any where from under 1 minute to 10 minutes before going to sleep.

I've noticed that putting something with her such as a stuffed animal or my iPod Speaker with music to distract her makes her miss me less.

  • I found that talking to her while I leave her sight helps. She seems to like that she can still hear me even tho she can't see me. I remember reading somewhere that baby thinks your gone, dead, never coming back around this age, when they can't see us. :(
