is anyone experiencing these? I'm 11 weeks today and my heart is going crazy!!! It's a little scary! Also I'm concerned one day I have a baby bump and the next day in flat like before I was pregnant!
I'm 11w also I posted yesterday that I was worried because I lost a pound and my blump seemed smaller. I was really worried, and no one replied but thanks for posting at least now I know someone else sees/feels the same thing. My heart also races from time to time, which is new since pregnancy.
I found out I have a heart murmur that developed with this pregnancy. It makes my heart flutter and sometimes even hurts. They said it wasn't anything to worry about and it should heal after the baby is born.
My stomach disappears somedays it just depends on how much I eat and constipation.
I've had a heart murmer since birth and rarely felt palpitations. Doctors have to monitor that during my pregnancy. I had an echocardiogram last week to see where and how severe the murmer is. The only time I have felt palpitations is usually around some kind of anxiety or exertion. Everyone is different but it can feel scary especially if you haven't experienced it before. Also my stomach changes constantly, even throughout the day. It's kind of dissapointing because just when I think I have a bump it's gone. Meaning it's more likely gas. Damn it I am pregnant and want to look cute not bloated!
Your heart is under a lot more pressure now that you're pregnant, so palpitations are fairly normal. Let your doctor know though as they may want to do an ECG.
I've experienced it a lot, and quite badly. I have to go see a cardiologist, but I think that's only because I have a pre existing heart problem (superventricular tachycardia) so they have to monitor my heart a bit more closely
Try not to stress too much, warm baths and just sitting down and sipping some water helps. If you have a palpitation whilst standing, sit immediately and breathe slowly or if you're driving try to pull over... It's very important because palpitations can cause you to black out. Definitely worth mentioning x
I have the heart plaipitations when I'm working out. When I feel them I just stop catch my breath and relax until they settle. I was pretty fit and very active before I got pregnant and it's been really hard for me to slow doen. As far as the bump, my stomach comes and goes a bit. I've put on quite a few pounds already so it always looks like bloat. It's slowly taking shape into a bump. I think I'll feel so much better when it does, right now I just feel fat.
HPs are scary! I've had them for years due to anxiety and they still freak me out (then again, as someone with anxiety, I'm easily freaked out). I know they are common in pregnancy though. As for the stomach, as PPs said, a lot of the tummy right now is bloating/water retention, not necessarily a real "baby bump" yet, so fluctuations are normal.
I get those flutters a lot now, especially when I stand up too fast or exerting myself. I believe they're totally normal. My blump hasn't done anything but get bigger in 11 weeks lol. Water retention fluctuates though, so that's probably all it is
