How can I tell that I'm actually showing? I know stupid question but to me I still feel like I'm.just Pudge

FTM here too. From what I understand a baby bump doesn't go away. If it's smaller in the morning and more noticeable in the evening it's probably bloat. I have this weird thing going on where the top of my stomach is growing and I was told its most likely bloat. Hopefully you will get your baby bump soon. I can't wait till I get mine!

I look at my belly when I wake up in the morning. At night, it's usually twice the size, probably due to some bloatage and food. I am 12 weeks 5 days and I can see a little itty bitty round bump coming in already. Because baby is sitting so low in your tummy, you'll actually start to notice a bump forming below your belly button. I am a FTM too so I don't know why I am showing so soon, but I'll take it. I don't care if people say it's bloat, it's clearly not. I have to hide it from my family because they don't know yet and none of my flowy shirts help anymore. I hope this kind of helps... you'll definitely notice it when you "bump out" (for me I noticed a difference within a week).

FTM also I'm 12 weeks today and have been showing for a couple of weeks. Mostly bloat at first but definitely bumping now. I was surprised but at my 10 week appt the tech told me that my uterus is sitting forward so I'll show more.

If you do a search of this topic, you will find quite a few very recent discussions of this. Until around the 2nd trimester, essentially what you are seeing is a combination of bloat and wishful thinking.

When I was a FTM, I thought I was showing from week 7 on. I even took weekly pictures. It wasn't until week 18 when it was an obvious change in what my bump looked like. Right now, it's just bloat and a food baby.
