@pabeybaby that's a really good idea ! Why didn't I think of that . I already lost one sock when I started doing my LO's laundry and can't find it anywhere .
Lovely my whole family is rolling around in formaldehyde soaked lice. Do you all really wash your adult clothes befofe you wear them too?? I mean I wash cheap underwear before I wear those.
I wash all of my DS's clothes and then for myself and DH any undergarments, bathing suits, etc. I actually had found this article right after my MIL and I were having this exact conversaion about whether or not we wash our clothes before wearing them. I had sent it to her in an email because I found it funny that I stumbled upon it right after she and I were talking about it. I'm very hypocritical with what I do for DS vs myself though - we splurged on an organic mattress for him because of the off-gassing from regular mattresses, yet we did not get ourselves an organic one...I won't let him have ice cream for breakfast, but I sure did this morning
I feel like everyone becomes hypocritical when they become a parent. DH and I see this often with DSD (dear step daughter, can this become a refular acronym?!). Heck no you cant have a cookie for breakfast but I see missing cookies that I know daddy took. You cant stay up late we have to get up early, but me and daddy are up until 2am! Lol There things just happen. She also sometimes gets nicer things that we wouldnt splurge on for ourselves just like your mattress situation too though. Just the reality of having kids it seems!!
I'm going to wash her clothes and diapers that we bought the middle of next month. Since we're cloth diapering I'll wash her clothes in a CD friendly detergent.
All of our clothes will be washed in that detergent going forward.
New clothing is not clean. It can have residual chemicals on it from the fabric dyes or if the manufacture uses something to keep the item from wrinkling. .
This!! I used to work in a cloth making factory and there's tons of chemicals that the fabric goes through. It's a crazy process.
Yes! I work at target and i put away the clothing that comes in from the truck. If you SMELLED how some of the clothes in then you wouldnt think twice about it, it can be nauseating sometimes. Its horrible!
