Eating adventures

I'm here making French toast at 11 pm because it sounded good!

What's the greatest length you have gone yet to cook or get the food you're currently craving?

Re: Eating adventures

  • Probably the fish and chips I "needed" a few weeks ago. I didn't even like them pre-pregnancy. I combed through the house and the closest thing I had was tilapia and baby red potatoes. So I battered and fried the tilapia and did some pan fried baby red potatoes. It was so worth it! :-)

  • Wow! Do you cook much? That is impressive! Was it in normal eating hours, lol?

This last week is when I had a noticeable hunger spike. For the longest while I preferred to eat only a little at a time. Now I am eating more at a time (what I used to before pregnancy) and still eating as often!

Pretty much my whole life I have usually been unable to fall asleep hungry. So the other night after I lay awake for a couple hours after going to bed, I got up to eat cereal. Just when I finished, hubby woke up confused as to where I was, and called out for me. I said sheepishly that I was hungry! We keep smiling at it now!

  • I started making big batches of pancake batter at the beginning of the week so I could have fresh pancakes every morning. They were one of the few foods I could stomach at the beginning, and I'm still loving them!

I have to keep food beside the bed because I have the same problem, and when I feel hungry I feel nauseous. I feel like a pig when I wake up at 4 am and chow down on my apple in bed while my husband is sleeping.
