To spray or not to spray

Anyone heard if spray tans are ok? I'm 16 weeks and have to be in a wedding next weekend. I'll call my doctor to ask but wanted to take a poll first to see if it's even worth asking the doc. Thanks!

Re: To spray or not to spray

  • That's a phenomenal question! Obviously, I would consult your physician, but I personally would not want to inhale the fumes. Is it possible for you to use a topical bronzer instead? I would ask the doctor that.

  • Most are totally safe. :)

My salon uses a plant based all natural spray tan and I've loved it in the past. It usually lasts a week and looks natural!! I would call a few salons and do a little research on their products. :)
  • I got a spray tan for a wedding at 9 weeks, my salon also uses organic materials for the spray and they have a well ventilated space. I could not find a straight answer online and my doctor said and I quote "women worry too much because of the Internet" so he is not the most helpful for these types of questions.

Thanks ladies!!! I'll call and ask for sure.
  • When I have had spray tans done in the past they have been simple solutions, sometimes mostly sugar water with some natural dye. Definitely call because it could be a possibility.
