if you do when did you start getting them. and if you dont any second time moms or beyond that can shine some light on this? i myself am almost 20wks and have not had any that im aware of yet.
I'm a FTM and just pointed my new stretch marks out to my DH today! I have two vertical pink stretch marks on my waistline on both sides. You're one if the lucky ones! Coconut oil is my best friend!
I did not get any with DS until after 30 weeks or so, and most of them were on the underside of belly that I could no longer see. I only had a couple until about a month before my due date, then they really started popping up. Luckily most of them lighted up with in a year on there own, still visual but not bad.
On my 4th and have some very small older ones near my belly piercing and appendix scars and didn't get them until In my late 30 wks.
I use palmers belly cream that comes in a tube and apply after every shower/bath.
They say it's hereditary, but I think it's hit or miss. My sister got major stretch marks her first pregnancy, my mom just had a few and I have next to none.
This, with ever pregnancy. Don't forget your boobs! I did get stretch marks there because I got huge but never thought to put lotion on them with my first
I don't notice any yet but that's not to say they won't come. I've been cocoa-buttering it up since I found out I was pregnant at the end of last year but then had a MMC in November. Just continued to use it because I knew I would get pregnant again eventually. It smells good anyway. Hoping between that and staying hydrated it will help, but with stretch marks being more genetic than anything we shall see. My grandma didn't get any with my mom, but I don't know if my mom got any from me, or my two younger brothers as we don't talk. Guess it'll be a surprise.
I have some on my breasts, but none yet on my belly. I've used the Palmer's tummy butter a few times (on my breasts and my belly, as PP mentioned), but not with any regularity.
I used tummy butter and bio oil religiously in my last pregnancy and I thought I'd avoided stretch marks. Then at 37 weeks they appeared This time I'll still use the moisturisers, but I already know I'll get more stretch marks because my skin is prone to them. I was pretty upset about them last time but I'm kinda proud of them now. I earned those marks by growing my beautiful boy!
I have some come on my ass when I was 17 weeks which I was a bit surprised about as we're not a 'stretch mark family' As others have said, Palmers and it smells lovely, and Bio Oil; more so to moisturise the skin, I think if you're gonna get them, you're gonna get them!
Just on my boobs so far. I'm not bothering with lotion on them; they were already covered with old stretch marks from when I "blossomed", the new ones are just kind of filling in the gaps/darkening some old ones. I have no effs to give, they're bigger and DH is happy, so whatever.
I know my mom had a ton with me, so I'll probably get them on my belly eventually, but right now I don't see any. I'm only 17 weeks, so its still early.
My boobs and my inner thighs. The ones on my thighs showed up when I first got pregnant. The ones on my boobs showed up pretty early also, I'm not sure but I would say around 8 weeks.
I have some on my love handles region that didn't pop up until postpartum. There's 3-4 on each side and they faded to a very light pink/white about 9 months PP. I'm at 19 weeks now and they're starting to darken again, but just to a dark pink. I also have them on my hips, but they're very light and thin so they don't seem to be darkening. None on my stomach so at least there's that. Just because you're prone to them doesn't mean they'll pop up all at once or even on your stomach.

Me too! My hips look like they have tiger stripes- I have never had stretch marks before so it is mildly interesting if I stay detached
I'm on baby #3 and don't have one stretch mark. I sometimes think it all about keep moisturized. I lotion my full body daily since I was 14. I think your skin is more apt to "tear" if its dry. It's the same thing with wrinkles, the dryer your skin the more wrinkles you will get as you age. Although as @Ceridwen77 says I also think genetics play a huge role. My gramma had three kids and not one stretch mark and my mom had 3 no stretch marks, my cousins did not get any or her mom but than my sister did?? It's so hard to guess what causes it or how to stop it i guess. I still say moisturize like crazy!
I got stretch marks like crazy with my first. I was young and ignored everyone's advice. I regret it now. But my #1 piece of advice. DO NOT SCRATCH. Seriously I ignored this and scratched like crazy. Now I look like a tiger. -.-
I am 18 weeks and already have a bunch under my navel, despite the cocoa butter. I'm definitely prone to getting them, I got a lot during puberty/growth spurts, and when my boobs grew in college.
I got mine with my first, not a lot but enough on my boobs and thighs as well as my tummy. Not many with number 2 and we'll see what happens with number 3. I'm not too worried about it, I have only my hubby to impress and he doesn't mind them at all!
I just spotted some today on my boobs. My belly isn't really growing hardly at all yet (seventeen weeks today and I still only look like I just finished eating Thanksgiving dinner), but my boobs got bigger fast and I didn't think to watch for stretch marks on them until I saw them today. Dang it.
I am a FTM and at 20 weeks, I am measuring big but no stretch marks yet. Like PPs mentioned, I have been slathering palmer's on my belly and boobs religiously. My cousin mentioned that she got more stretch marks after she gave birth than before from the baby weight loss. I guess we will have to wait and see how our own bodies react.
I slathered myself with fancy cocoa butter my whole first pregnancy. I thought I was home free, but around 30 weeks they showed up. My little guy is almost two and they have faded a lot, you can barely see them. There's only so much you can do!
Lucky me, having both gained and lost a ton of weight (was 250, dropped to 140 because I made myself anorexic, annoyingly back to 200 right before getting pregnant), I had stretch marks all over my belly, so they're popping up like crazy even though I'm only 19 weeks. DH puts cocoa butter on my belly nightly (he likes getting to rub my belly for some reason), but he said last night that maybe I need to lotion up more often because the stretch marks seem to be growing. Personally, I don't notice because I don't usually stare at my naked belly and I've never had the body for a bikini and I probably care too little about my appearance, but since my DH is horny as ever since my belly started growing, I think I'm okay lol
My stomach and thighs they practically reach my thighs.... I can't even look in the mirror right now without crying. I knew I'd get some stretch marks but I didn't realize it would be so bad.

I promise they do fade. It's so hard to get used to at first when they're big and purple but in a year or two you will hardly notice them. Keep moisturising! Try not to be upset, it really is worth it in the end.
19 wks and I have tiger boobs. I might be a little melodramatic but wow. I went from a C to.. a D or bigger. Cream those puppies up. Don't forget to apply lotion lower on your abdomen, close to your private region. I've been told that later on, moisturizing and oiling your private region will help prepare it for labour. I couldn't tell you how effective that is, but I plan on being one big greaseball.
